Holy shit. What a night!

On Tuesday we held our third annual Hello May Social – this year otherwise known as “Hello-ween 2017” and damn did we have a good time! Some of our longest standing advertisers and most regular contributors travelled to our Southern Beaches offices to let their hair down and kick up their heels for an evening of good food, truly amazing music and nice human beings.

We feel so blessed to have such amazingly talented vendors from Australia and New Zealand wide contribute to the digital and printed pages of Hello May – putting on this annual shindig is just our way of saying “Hey! Thanks for being so awesome” and “We really like you. A lot”.

Big ups to the vendors who travelled from South Australia, The Sunshine Coast, Byron Bay, Brisbane, Newcastle, Melbourne and Canberra (just to name a few locations) and to everyone who got into the (optional) fancy dress theme… but an extra large thank you has to go to the vendors who came together to make the evening possible. Bare with us a moment whilst we gush about how much we love them and how bloody good they are at their jobs.

First up has to be Jo and her team from Garnish Creative Catering, based in Berry these total legends proved yet again they really do go above and beyond for their clients… travelling to Sydney and putting together the most amazing feasting table would of been enough for us (The salmon! The arancini balls! The beer cheese! Oh My!) but the paella (aka: witches cauldrons) complete with actual witches doing the stirring was next level.

Then came Adam from The Vintage Stylus. Every one of our 150 guests said it was the best play list / vibe / music / entertainment they’d ever gotten down and dirty to on the dance floor and we couldn’t agree with them more! His song selection was nothing short of outstanding and the fact it all came from original vinyl records made it that much better in our eyes.

Next up was Southern Sydney wedding photographer Kieran Moore! What a total legend. Not only did he dress up as some kind of Tina Turner / Japanese Anime hybrid but he captured the super fun times like a pro – never missing a beat.

Then there was My Little Peony, who provided the vintage caravan you see in the photos below and Sammy and Lola who’s Til Death and BOO lights really brought the whole night together. But the evening would not of been complete with out Jess and Seb from In An Instant Photo Booth. These two just don’t quit. They have been the back bone of every awesome party we’ve ever thrown. They are so much fun and we can never recommend them, or any of the above vendors highly enough for your day of good times.

Big thanks again to everyone who travelled far and wide to come for the evening. You can check out our 2016 and 2015 events here and here. After more amazing vendor recommendations? Search our directory or pick up a copy of issue 18 of Hello May, on sale now and stocked in newsagents nationally.
