Just a few short weeks ago One Fine Day Wedding Fair took over The Timber Yard, Port Melbourne, and as a proud sponsor of the event, the Hello May team was there to take in all the action. We also invited the uber-talented Xavier from Odd Socks Society along to take some pics from the epic weekend, which we’re sharing with you guys today. He captured the buzzing energy and good vibes to a tee!
As always, Victoria’s best wedding vendors went above and beyond when creating their stalls, while we enlisted the incredible talents of Thank You, Baby ( a creative duo made up of Bloom Boy and Ty Designs) to bring the Hello May stand to life – and, boy, did they deliver (scroll down for the epic florals and styling!). The wonderfully talented Veasna Chea Design took care of our pretty papergoods and signage on the day. And one of our favourite jewellery designers LolaKnight very kindly offered up a prize for us to give away. Dream team? We think so!
At 10am the first wave of attendees came through the venue, with VIP guests receiving their goodie bag (which included a copy of Issue 39), as well as delish cocktails thanks to Mr Consistent, and access to the Simply Seated lounge (a total vibe – and a great place to grab something to eat before taking in one of the three runway shows of the day). Showcasing gorgeous hair and makeup by Tonic Agency and designers including Anna Campbell, Rue De Seine, Rebecca Vallance and Cherie by Oui, the fashion shows were a definite highlight.
Special mentions must also go to jewellery designers Grew & Co, Argent Silversmith and Larsen Jewellery, fashion faves M.J. Bale, Hayley Maree Bridal and Etre Marie Bridal Boutique, photographer Dust & Salt, photo booth extarodinaire Boothalicious, and epic venues Amarti and The Acres of Tooborac, who all come highly recommended by us (you’ll find them over on our directory) and had seriously stunning set-ups on the day!
