Hi I’m Josh, a full time wedding DJ based in Melbourne. I play at 80 weddings each year mixing more House, Disco and R&B, and less (or zero!) pub rock. Chances are we are close to the same age; I’m 29. So, I really know what tracks are going to make you and your friends and family tear it up on the dance floor.
So how is Married to the Groove different?
The aesthetic. The couples I work with have a vision for their day. The rooms are so beautifully styled. Why should the DJ booth look any different? Well most DJ tables you can buy are black, bulky and you can see wires running everywhere. That’s why I had a custom wooden booth made and my sound system and lights are modern and sleek.
I get to know you. This is not an agency… What does that mean? No middle man booking agent! You will be getting to know me leading up to your wedding and I will be there on the day bringing the great tunes.
The tunes. Read my reviews and you’re going to find a reoccurring theme; we plan the vibe together and then on the night I read the room and the dance floor goes off! There is so much good music across the decades that we don’t need to play all of the clichés back to back. Also, you are hiring a DJ to mix (well I hope you are!), not to be a jukebox at a pub that plays Horses, Living On A Prayer or The Nutbush one after the other.
