It’s not every day you wed thy love, so it should be a day of extraordinaries. For the self-assured, non-traditional belle du jour – the kind that isn’t afraid to express herself through unique wearables, a good dose of colour and intuitive styling flair – our little team of creative talent had a field day putting together this editorial for you. (Because really, why can’t you POP in bright hues, sequins and polka dots on the big day!?)
A firm favourite of the Hello May mag crew, the prolific Jack Steel with his high-fashion eye captured our model Cassie in the quaint little New South Wales village of Berry. Known for its world-class dining haunts and local designer/maker boutiques, it was specifically the Famous Berry Donut Van, Berry Sourdough Cafe and Jack’s Espresso Van that became the backdrops to our quirky bridal shoot.
Featuring one-of-a-kind gowns by LA-based label Tara Lauren (available in Australia at Love Marie) and the renowned Karen Willis Holmes, plus the internationally acclaimed Jenny Packham and Temperley London, no bold fashion shoot would be complete without Shoalhaven resident hair and makeup artist Megan Vaughan from Makeup by Megan. (That girl really knows how to do a smoky cat eye!)
