We thought we’d wrap up the last week of 2017 with a bit of a ‘Best Of’ series. We kicked things off with the most popular bouquets followed by gowns, cakes and overall weddings which leads us to today, our final category – bridal parties! Yep. According to your clicks, likes and comments through out the year these are the ten bunches of besties you were loving on the most.

This year saw the rise in mismatched frocks (that you can actually wear again and again!) with an emphasis on texture – which we absolutely adore! From etherial whites, to black tie ebony, satin gowns, find your inspiration here (and get Pinteresting)!

BRITNEY + DAMO, WOLLOMBI, NSW
Britney’s beautiful bridesmaids looked incredible in their Talulah frocks, pairing with the bride’s own gorgeous lace gown. A lovely example of how keeping the colour scheme minimal, and letting the florals be the pops of colour, this is one wedding we kept coming back to for inspiration!

CHLOE + DAK, WALLINGTON, VIC
A stunning example of using texture to your advantage – sometimes the more the merrier! Chloe’s gals wore the lovely Aussie designer Alice Mccall, all rocking variations of the same gorgeous, graphic lace – and boy did they look good. If you’re keen to stick to the traditional ‘all maids wearing the same outfit’ look, but have a little flexibility – this is a great idea!

HANNAH + ASH, MELBOURNE, VIC
Talk about nailing the black tie look, Hannah and Ash rocked the theme with their dapper tuxedos and gorgeous black frocks. Rarely do we see a black tie event, and admittedly it can be a tough one to pull off! But these guys did a killer job with photos by Free the Bird Weddings.

VANESSA + TERRY, MELBOURNE, VIC
Here’s a lovely example of same same but different, with Vanessa’s pals rocking similar prints but different silhouettes, all from the lovely Zimmermann. Not to mention that epic dress from those clever kids at One Day Bridal. LIZ + ALEX, SYDNEY, NSW
How amazing are these colours, not to mention the gorgeous gals rocking them?! Liz’s bridesmaids picked their own frocks from Chloe, Alice McCall and For Love & Lemons, and man did they look the part! We love the bold contrasts, and how lovely do those blooms look with them!

LIZZY + JOHNNY, BYRON BAY, NSW
Of course the lovely Lizzy and her gals had a plethora of gorgeous gowns to pick from, the bride being one half of the wunderkind that make up Spell Designs. Beautiful lace, delicate cottons and shear panelling made each one of Lizzy’s ‘maids look like angelic, etherial goddesses!

SARAH + DAN, BYRON BAY, NSW
If there’s one theme we’ve seen over the past twelve months, it’s textured white frocks! And man we love it. Sometimes one dress just doesn’t work for everyone, and in that instance, it can be so lovely to see a variety – add some texture and you’re guaranteed an awesome, dynamic look! Sarah’s ‘maids rocked a variety of gowns, the bride even telling us on the day of the wedding, they each brought in a number of white outfits, so they could all pick their ensemble in the moment – we love it! MARLANA + SEAN, KAWARREN, VIC
The stunning combination of these earthy floral printed frocks and the sweeping landscape made for a dynamic combination – and a photographers dream to shoot! These lovely Get Frocked gowns were Marlana’s pick for her maids, and we can see why. Beautifully styled and effortlessly worn.

MARLI + DEEJAY, METRICUP, WA
Marli’s gorgeous bridesmaids rocked these stunning burnt orange Reformation gowns for the couple’s WA wedding. A perfect contrast to the vintage rides, in paring with the earthy tones of the landscape, we couldn’t help but be reminded of the incredible red soil often found in this part of Australia. KAPPY + NICK, VIC
Who could forget Kappy and Nick’s super fun bridal party! These guys were a shoe in to round out our top ten with their love of fairy floss, good times and a fun frock with Kappy’s bridesmaids wearing a respectable mix of For Love and Lemons, Alice McCall and ASOS.
