Remember that old saying, “pink and red should never be said?” Well, whatever silly goose said that clearly hasn’t ever styled a wedding. Just putting it out there – this is one of our favourite colour combos of all time. Feeling very much the same, Ashleigh Haase Photography and the folk at Nudo put this beaut shoot together as a bit of modern romance inspo for your viewing pleasure.
A Brunswick-based team of event planners, stylists and florists, Nudo, were keen to shine a light on the contrasting nature of feminity in their styling elements (provided by the good people of Event Merchant Co), “The best thing about being stylists is taking an image, a keyword, a Pinterest board, and turning it into a reality”, they share, which resulted in bold colours and textures. “Feminity doesn’t have to be whimsy and floaty, it can be powerful, bright and unique!” We also love the lush velvet pink couch served up by Good Day Club.
As for the cake, this beauty is the work of one of our fave Melbourne bakers, Miss Ladybird Cakes. Keen to create something super clean and structural, Gina shares that she’d be stoked to see more couples opting for cakes with shapes just as crisp and striking as they “become great pops of difference at events and are excellent ‘canvases’ for the florals.”
