“Bright, unique, colourful and happy” was the inspo for Alana and Jack’s lovefest in their hometown of Deniliquin. And we’d say they nailed the brief. THE PROPOSAL “It was Christmas Day and all I had done for the entire day was whinge that Jack hadn’t proposed yet! Then on the drive from my parents to his I was whinging more, when we pulled up at our house to ‘check something’. Little did I know he was going to pop the question after me absolutely giving it to him all day, but he did, god love him. I was so hysterical I didn’t answer for about five minutes (poor Jack) and then apologised for being so nasty.”
THE VENUE “Deniliquin doesn’t have too many options to choose from, to be honest, but we absolutely lucked out. Chippenham Park (a private property) was the one and only venue that we looked at and it was absolutely perfect. We wouldn’t have changed a thing!”
THE THEME “Our friends and family know that Jack and I love a party, so the best party we had ever been to was kind of our inspo. The music and a fab range of drinks were important to us. I love colour so I wanted it to feel bright, unique, colourful and happy.”
THE DRESS “My dress was custom made by the amazingly talented Jessica Lauren. I went to Melbourne for the experience of trying on dresses with mum and my sister but I always knew I wanted something custom. I had an idea in my mind and couldn’t find anything perfect, Jess was amazing and so incredibly talented. And she put up with me changing my sleeves the week before!”
FAVE DEETS “I know its cliché, but it truly was the most amazing day of our lives being surrounded by our nearest and dearest having the party of all parties. The vibes were immaculate, the cocktails were amazing, and the dance floor was pumping. Everything was literally perfect!”
A WORD OF ADVICE “Try and book things early so you can relax. Try not to stress, especially over minor details because honestly NO ONE will notice if something goes wrong. You’re marrying the person you love in front of your best friends and family, you will have an amazing day regardless!”
