Alyce and Kate threw tradition out the door for their day of days. Having transitioned from colleagues to friends to best friends and finally to lovers, this pair knew that something ultra intimate was in order. After discovering Karri Lake, the gals decided to tie the knot in an intimate ceremony and celebrate with friends and fam just a couple of days later with a screening of a snippet of their wedding vid. Pretty cute, huh? Just wait till you catch the rest of these scenic snaps. Scroll down for more from the couple’s fab photographer, Partografia

THE VIBE “We always wanted our ceremony to be private. Our commitment to each other was only for the two of us. We wanted to stay true to our relationship and our story, which means everything was super simple and genuine.”

FAVOURITE DETAILS “We have to give a huge shoutout to our personal hero, Dylan from Partografia. Dylan and Matt attended our elopement in Quinninup and captured gorgeous photos and video from the day. Dylan then completed the impossible, and within 36 hours, he had polished a short video of the ceremony which we played for our guests at the reception. It was such a special moment to see our families share the experience with us.”

FAVOURITE MOMENT “The day of the ceremony was so special to us and was definitely our favourite part of the entire festival. We woke up and walked to the spot where we were going to get married later that day – cup of tea in hand, a layer of mist covering the lake. The day was so peaceful, relaxing and fun.”

MARRIAGE MEANS “For the lawyer in me, the Marriage Act 1961 (Cth) defines ‘marriage’ as the union of 2 people to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life. But for the person in me, marriage means her. It always has. (I know she would say the same.)”

LITTLE LOL “After we were pronounced and shared a pash, Alyce pulled away from me and I just saw a look of absolute horror on her face when she realised her lipstick came off all over my face and effectively gave me a third lip. The photos are hilarious.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “As mentioned, Paula from Paula & Jo was incredible. We also really connected with Bryan and Nat from Bryan Was Here (his furniture is INCREDIBLE). Daniel / Good Fortune, our DJ, really understood our brief to inject nostalgia into the dancefloor and he delivered the vibe. Lastly, Dylan (Partografia), has become a staple in our lives. Dylan is the definition of above and beyond.”
