Pretty keen to buck tradition, Amy and Hugo were just aiming for an authentic and laid-back wedding. And they got it guys! It’s looks like a darn good time, from getting ready together, to the gorgeous garden ceremony (completely floored by the Pomp & Splendour flowers) and quite possibly, party-of-the-year reception. We were so head over heels for this beautiful day in Eurora, and the incredible captures by our gal Miranda Stokkel, that we printed it in issue 37. Dive into the copy below for all the goodness and the prettiest photos…

FAVE DETAILS “Our florist Pomp & Splendour did such a great job of decorating the tables. We especially loved the arbour piece they put together for our ceremony!  We also just LOVED the venue, Euroa Butter Factory. It felt like we’d picked the perfect place. It had the country feel with a stunning garden and it was a nice weekend getaway for our guests.”

MEMORABLE MOMENT “The ceremony itself was particularly special. It didn’t feel cheesy and yet it was full of emotion. Both of us got a bit teary during the ceremony. Seeing Amy walk down the aisle with her dad was a moment I won’t ever forget.”

LITTLE LOL “Our witnesses were friends of ours but they themselves were brother and sister and when we went to do our signing, our celebrant had accidentally married them and put us as the witnesses. It was very funny. Our celebrant fortunately had a spare marriage certificate as he had a feeling he might make a mistake!”

DIY “We wanted to add a personal touch and wrote a personalised message to each guest for them to read at their seat during reception. We tied the message to some tea we’d made for them. It took a lot longer than we expected.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “We were stoked with our photographer (Miranda Stokkel) and our florist (Pomp & Splendour).”

A WORD OF ADVICE “Don’t leave too many things to be done at the last minute! We both have very different ways of operating, with Amy planning well ahead and I work a bit better under pressure. Safe to say, you don’t need any added stress right before the wedding.”
