This loved up duo are no strangers to the public eye and its not just because they were our Issue 24 cover couple. Charlotte is a journalist for Network Ten whilst her new hubby Kieren you might recognise from the Sydney Swans.  A modern-day love story, these two met on Instagram and were engaged for just over two years before tying the knot. The couple even changed the date of their nuptials for superstar photographer Peyton Byford. With a fab Timbermill Rentals bar and a dang fine seven-piece band from The White Tree, Charlotte and Kieren enjoyed one heck of a party. Scroll down to catch some more pics of Charlotte and Kieren’s day of days…

THE VENUE “We were about to give up on the whole thing when we stumbled across All View Escape. It’s quirky, it’s a bit off the beaten track, and they are certainly not lying with the name – it is ALL. VIEW. We got out of the car and just said this is it. The mountains literally smack you in the face. The Blue Mountains has always been a favourite of ours and we also found out after we booked that Charlotte’s great-grandmother used to live on the road the venue is on. We locked it in that day. Also, a massive bonus that there are two houses on the property to stay in meaning we had lots of room for out of town guests.”

THE VIBE “We wanted the day just to be a big fun party. To have that much love in the room was so overwhelming and we wanted it to be a day to thank everyone for all their support over the years.  In terms of styling we wanted it to be classic and romantic. Our colour scheme was pastel pinks, white and gold.”

FAVOURITE DETAILS “The flowers  [Kashaya & Co] were incredible. Beautiful roses, orchids, hydrangeas – everywhere you looked.  They were truly amazing. We had arrangements inside the marquee and flowers woven into our custom made ceremony metalworks.  Kieren, surprise surprise, is not a floral man and even he was blown away by how they looked and reckons he can now ALMOST justify how much we spent on them….. almost.”

THE DRESS “My dress – my god! A few of my best friends had got their dresses from Pallas Couture and they were just divine. When I went into the shop it was like stepping into a beautiful lacey, sequinned heaven. The women there are so clever and talented. It also was great as they have a Perth studio (where I’m from) so I was able to go in there with mum when I was home visiting so she didn’t miss out. I also changed into a beautiful dress from Moonstruck Bride. It was a gold coloured, sleeveless dress covered in sequinned stars and was just perfect for dancing and was a great contrast to my wedding gown. I didn’t even feel the cold – much.”

WE’RE GLAD WE…“We are really glad we took our time in the planning process. It meant that we got to enjoy being engaged without the wedding stress for about a year. We’re also so happy we organised a recovery party for the next night. This was such a nice relaxed evening where we could actually speak to our guests and not have to pose for ten million photos! We also organised wood-fired pizza, soft serve ice cream, a karaoke machine for the Saturday night and I could breathe and wear jeans – winning!  There were some standout performances from everyone including the groom.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “In our list of stand out vendors would have to be our one-woman show Kashaya. She was our florist, our stylist, our planner – even our cake maker. Pallas Couture also created the most incredible dress – their attention to tiny details and care was second to none. I am not a visual person and getting a custom made dress was at the time a bit daunting as I couldn’t imagine what it would look like but I knew I could put my faith in them. I have since recommended them to every friend getting married – just in the hopes I can go back with them and play dress-ups.”
