After 10 glorious years together and a long two-year engagement, Clare and Henry travelled to the South Coast of NSW with everyone they know and love to tie the knot (and enjoy some delish eats by the region’s very best Garnish Creative Catering). Wearing a stunning Georgia Young Couture gown and a classic M.J Bale Suit, with photos by the ever-so-talented Alex Jack, Clare took a moment to fill us in on their favourite parts of the day…

FUNNY STORY “We had our car packed to the brim to head down to Gerringong a few days early and get everything in order. On the way our car broke down, of course. When help from NRMA arrived, his tyre blew so we were all stuck on the side of the highway until both of us could get moving again! We were delayed by a few hours but thanks to Terry, our NRMA angel, all of our DIY elements made it to the wedding!”

THE DRESS “I don’t find it easy making big ticket decisions so you can imagine the whole experience was a little overwhelming! My fun little dress ended up being a Georgia Young Couture gown. I contacted Amy from Love Marie and she was able to fit me in for a last-minute try on. Amy was so welcoming and provided a wonderful experience, she contacted the designer, made alterations and sorted the dress in time for the wedding with absolutely no fuss. I’m so grateful for her help.”

REFERENCES “I’m guilty of buying a few Hello May mags during our two-year engagement! So I definitely found ideas and suppliers there. We also used quite a few venue supplier recommendations and the rest was our talented family and friends.”

MEMORABLE MOMENT “The moment before I walked down the aisle. I hope everyone feels the same feels! [Also] our photographer Alex Jack took us outside the venue towards the end of the night for a few photos. It was beautiful taking that time away from everyone to soak in the moment together.”
