Meet Elle and Kurt – together for 11 beautiful years after meeting when they were 19. After such a long time together, once getting engaged in the Blue Mountains, these two planned and pulled off a gorg wedding in less than four months (no easy feat!), sharing that having such a short timeframe “was a blessing. We didn’t have time to agonise over decisions or to get overly stressed.”

Heide Museum of Modern Art was the spot they picked for their nups and were just one of a whole host of fab vendors. “We loved them all and are so grateful to everyone involved in our day!” the newlyweds say, from their amazing photographer I Got You Babe Weddings to wedding ‘fits by Hello May faves, Suitably and Lola Varma, and accessories from Amelie George Bridal and Bared Footwear. Take a look at these snaps and we guaranteed you’ll be inspired!

THE VIBE “A relaxed summer garden party vibe filled with joy and colour and love. A big celebration of what we had already achieved over 11 years, and the people who had been there along the way, as well as a commitment to each other and our future.”

THE SUIT “Kurt’s suit was from Suitably in Collingwood. Kurt’s sister flew in from Canberra to help with finding his suit and had found Suitably online. The three of us went for a consultation and Alexander was amazing from that first day. He knew what we were after and delivered! We got the full suit and accessories and even a spare shirt for later in the evening. Kurt has never had a suit that fits him so well. We’ll be back there for sure!”

THE DRESS “My dress was from Lola Varma and I had such an amazing experience from start to finish. Stephanie took such good care of me and seemed to really understand what I was looking for without pressuring me to try things out of my comfort zone. She took great pictures and videos for me to send to my sister in Sweden which was so helpful – trying to find a dress when your most trusted person is overseas is not easy!”

STANDOUT VENDORS “Lilli our photographer [I Got You Babe Weddings] was incredible and totally understood our vision. She was a pleasure to have with us and was a really calming presence in those quiet moments with just us. And Cassie at Heide Kitchen and her team who were there on the day were just amazing. They even set up both an inside and outside option for the ceremony as there was rain forecast! We are so grateful to everyone involved in our day.”

A TOUCH OF TRADITION “My grandparents were on FaceTime from England for the whole day! From the hotel getting ready to the party at the end of the night. They woke up at 5 in the morning and dressed in pink just for us. We are so lucky to have them.”

WE’RE GLAD WE… “Had a cocktail-style event as this meant we and our guests could all mingle all night long. And we are really glad we splurged and booked a gorgeous hotel room to crash into after a huge day.”
