A couple of engineers that met at university over ten years ago, these two live and work in the UK, but came home for the summer wedding of their dreams. “We feel incredibly lucky to have been able to go ahead with our wedding with all our loved ones, given the current climate – our heart breaks for all the couples and vendors that have been impacted.” Here, here, you two! And now we feel lucky that we get to share your incredible wedding with the world. So scroll down for all the pics by the talented Georgia Verrells Photography and details below, and don’t miss that fun-filled Valerie Caravan Bar that looks as damn cool as it sounds, people.

THE VENUE “We fell in love with Mount Macedon Winery.  The location is incredible, but the owner, Elisha, absolutely won us over. Elisha took us on a tour around the property and talked us through some of the recent and upcoming renovations they were doing, as well as the various wedding setups they were able to cater for. We had this stunning winery location a little out of Melbourne but not too far, a beautiful outdoor space that we’d dreamt of and a team at MMW who we trusted to make the day everything we wanted!”

FAVOURITE DETAILS “The venue and the band – they were super relaxed and really read the crowd to build an epic dance floor – and our wedding favours. We settled on etched luggage tags which were designed and hand painted by GreenStudio + Co. Jackie worked tirelessly to bring our stationary, signage and favours together, she was able to accommodate all my little ideas and turn them into something really special.”

THE DRESS “While on a trip back to Melbourne (about 11 months prior to the wedding) my bridesmaids, sister in law, mum and myself took the opportunity to start the dress hunt. After a quick chat to the bridal stylist at Sassi Holford, my dress was the very first I tried on! And better still, it was a UK based designer! I was able to purchase it directly from the designer in London and have my alterations completed stress free before it’s very careful journey back with me to Melbourne for the wedding.”

COOL CUSTOM “Unfortunately, neither Andy or I had any grandparents present on the day. Andy and his grandmother were extremely close, so it was incredibly special that Andy proposed with her engagement ring. And my grandmother passed away just a few months before my mum married my dad, and on her wedding day a dear family friend gifted my mother a handmade blue ribbon horseshoe (a traditional symbol of good luck), a wish my grandmother had asked this family friend to fulfil for her before she passed. It had been a little worse for wear after so many years, but was lovingly restored by my own incredible god mother and given to me by my mum on the morning of the wedding.”

A WORD OF ADVICE “If you can, we would recommend getting a videographer as well as a photographer. We loved both looking at the photos and the video and being able to relive all the special moments of the wedding, we would have been really disappointed if we didn’t have the video to accompany the photos. It does an amazing job of jogging even more little memories of the day, and having the ceremony and speeches to go back to is fantastic.”

WE’RE GLAD WE… “Having our bridal party and family photos before the ceremony was a great idea, it meant we went into the ceremony relaxed and it extended the time with guests during the evening.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “Of course the amazing Georgia Verrells Photography was a standout alongside our videographers, Jack and Jackson of OneHeart. They took charge of the day and helped us to relax and have fun with the whole process. We also couldn’t have pulled off such an amazing day without Elisha and her team at Mount Macedon Winery. Not only is she a seasoned professional at running weddings, she genuinely wants all her couples to have their best day, and is more than happy to go the extra mile to deliver this.”
