Two years into their relationship, Em and Tas tied the knot in this gorgeous coastal wedding at The Barn On The Ridge with Em in a this incredible handmade dress (by her mother and grandma), complete with RUUSK rings. They had wild weather, but it didn’t dampen their day, guys. And you can tell from these beautiful pics from Charlotte Exton, so scroll down for all…

LITTLE LOLAfter finally getting all of our invitations printed, Tas stamped ‘2020’ onto the front of each one, haha not one of our finest moments.”

THE VENUEThe venue was actually all Tas! We knew we wanted to get married down on the South Coast, as it is a special place for us. He did some research and found The Barn On The Ridge! It was perfect for us, the first and only venue that we saw!”

DIYSo many DIY projects! It was definitely such a fun element of organising a wedding, although I definitely think I took a bit too much on! With the incredible help of friends and family, we organised shells to be put around the venue, extra desserts, native dried flowers (a requirement for national parks), wedding favours, invitations, ceremony cards, signage, and my dress!”

THE DRESS “My dress was handmade by my Mum and my Grandma. It all started with my grandma finding an old Vogue pattern and I just loved it. And became more in love with it as it come to life. The three of us spent an entire weekend together, and they created it from start to finish. I am honestly so proud of them and so grateful.”

KEY VENDORSWe found both of our caterers through the vendor recommendations of our venue. They had recommended both Hello Huey Caravan and the Wandering Woodfire Oven. We loved the idea of our guests being able to walk around, play lawn games, and have food and drinks carts set up outside for the reception.”

MEMORABLE MOMENTOur photographer, Charlotte Exton, offered to take us to the beach after the reception and before the sun set. We were originally meant to have our ceremony there, so we were so thankful she offered that time, she’s the best. It was so fun to jump in the water together at the end of the day!”

A WORD OF ADVICEDon’t do bio-confetti in the rain – its rice paper, it will turn to goo and it is hectic. Haha.”

WE’RE GLAD WE…We’re so glad we did a stand-up/ mixed seating style wedding with a view and games. It made it feel so relaxed.”

STANDOUT VENDORSMindy at The Barn On The Ridge went above and beyond. Our wedding weekend was soooo rainy, yet she was there to accommodate all of our changes in plans. She was lighting candles inside, providing umbrellas outside, and she even gave us a wedding gift with a card that said ‘a knot that becomes wet is extremely hard to untie’. She was the best and we’re so grateful.”
