Who doesn’t love a pooch (and even better a pug!) wearing florals at a wedding? Honestly. Day. Made. Little Lola also had a custom cocktail named after her and the bride’s dress coincidentally also held the same title. If that isn’t meant to be, we don’t know what is! Add a groom in M.J. Bale, a cool AF venue, Kittyhawk, entertainment by The White Tree and one of our faves, Oliver Thomson Celebrancy as well as pics by Samantha Heather Photography and phew, this wedding was never going to be anything but amazing. THE VENUE “We wanted a venue that ‘had it all’. The ceremony and reception to be held in the same location, central and something that reflected us as a couple, with city vibes and a focus on amazing food and drink. We wanted a traditional wedding venue and Kittyhawk really ticked all the boxes. All the staff were amazing to work with and we loved that we could easily customise our day. Kittyhawk was so beautifully decorated that we only added candles for our styling. No need to add to perfection! It was the perfect venue for a couple that doesn’t want to spend time to DIY.”
THE SUIT “James bought his suit from M.J. Bale which was a great experience. He’d also gone to another suit shop which offered a custom suit experience. After way too many questions and little guidance, he realised the process wasn’t for him. M.J. Bale was perfect in providing a classic, well-made tux without needing to make a million small choices.”
REFERENCES “Hello May was a huge help in finding our key vendors. Samantha Heather Photography recommended many of our vendors and I used to dance as a child with our florist, L Flora.”
MEMORABLE MOMENT “We are huge fans of a dance floor, so having a pumping band like The White Tree was essential! We had been to a few weddings of friends that had The White Tree and they always guaranteed a great party.”
A WORD OF ADVICE “Don’t overcomplicate things if you don’t have to. Pick good quality vendors and let the experts do their job. They tend to know best!”
STANDOUT VENDORS “I knew that I wanted Samantha Heather Photography long before we were even engaged. As soon as we booked our venue she was my first and only choice of photographer. We were worried that we would feel self-conscious having our photos taken, but Samantha blended in and felt like a member of the family. She truly is a superstar. Another standout was Oliver Thomson Celebrancy. Many people thought that he was a close friend or family member based on the ceremony he presented. He was able to weave our story together into a moving, heartfelt and often hilarious ceremony that had us smiling throughout. We couldn’t recommend him more highly.”
