We may be a teensy bit biased, but we’re crushing hard on this special celebration that gave us all the feels! This oh-so-lovely-in-linen bride used to work here at Hello May! Liv spent countless hours pouring over all of your weddings, before proposing to her man Brad (yep, we love a lady who bucks tradition) and planning her own day of days on her dad’s farm in picturesque Jamberoo. “Big thanks to all the couples that came before me, whose Q&As I got to devour (for work, too!). I stole lots of your ideas,” Liv laughs. “Our inspo was fancy family bbq vibes. We wanted it to be the kind of wedding we know that us, our family and friends would love to attend.”

Of course (as someone in the know!), Liv assembled a killer line-up of vendors to make the magic happen – Grace Roby‘s styling expertise, the handiwork of Terrace Press, Tillee Music to bring those good-time vibes, and our mate Blaise Bell behind the lens. You don’t want miss this one…

THE VENUE “We’d planned to have the wedding at my aunty’s farm. But my dad went and decided he was going to become a farmer, so he bought his own. When he saw the property for the first time, he envisioned a space under the two towering fig trees where we’d have parties and good times for years to come… and ours was the first.”

FAVE DEETS “Definitely my flowers. I wanted a meadow flower/cottage-core look and Allison from Flora of Grace absolutely nailed this and then some. I also adored the hand-dyed ribbon on my bouquet that added an extra whimsical feel. Also, our matching reception outfits were everything. It allowed me to do all my interpretive dance moves without worrying about flashing anyone.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “We always ask people not to write ‘everyone’ here, but I’m going to say it… everyone haha. Truly though, It is our wedding photos that are sitting all over our house that remind us of that magical day and it’s all thanks to Blaise. I don’t know how he does it but he is such a chiller and he managed to get THE shots without us even realising. I only wanted one really good photo but now I have a heap! Also OMG, Henry Clive were freaking phenomenal. I don’t even have words. The guys and the caravan bar became the absolute life of the party. Half the party was on the dancefloor and the other half were chatting to the bar staff all night. It was fantastic.”

LITTLE LOL “Despite all advice, I forgot to eat. I ended the night crying because there was no Vegemite toast to be found and fell asleep cuddling my dog.”

MEMORABLE MOMENT “I was insistent that I wasn’t going to walk down the aisle. The original plan was to greet our guests as they arrived together. When I told Dad he was pretty upset. A few months out I changed my mind and I am so glad I did because my favourite moment from the day was standing around the corner, about to walk down the aisle, and us giggling about how nervous we were. The wedding is definitely first and foremost about you and your partner but it’s also about all the people that love you, too. Oh. And my gorgeous doggo Banj being there all night long. He is 15 and even when Dad tried to put him inside for the night, he kept escaping to party.”
