Family is something Lobna and Stefano both value highly. After all, they changed their wedding date not once but twice to ensure their relatives (from Peru, Iran and Jordan respectively) could attend. Held at Lamont’s Bishops House, this power couple (Stefano is a civil engineer, Lobna is a researcher and together they own Zahara Flower Studio) along with prop hire and styling company Maisey Collections created a beautiful, elegant affair.
“We didn’t want trends as such, just something timeless and understated”, they tell us. Captured by Loren Ioppolo of Nectarine Photography, Lobna struck gold with her glamorous Paolo Sebastian gown and polished hair and makeup by Milla Makeup. “It was one of his couture dresses from last year. I enquired and there was one left in my size. So I flew to Adelaide where he customised it… I knew I loved it because of the colour and the way the fabric dropped. And Paolo was very nice so it was a great process.”
It was an intimate wedding (with 70 guests in total) that was high on tradition but Lobna and Stefano agree that it suited them to a tee. “The ceremony was a Baha’i ceremony, but we also had readings from the Catholic faith (Stefano’s background). All prayers, and readings were translated into English and Spanish.” The speeches apparently, weren’t half bad either. “Stefano’s speech… one guest said it was so good he should run for president lol.”
