Lucy and Sean kept their special day pretty chill and are proof that your wedding doesn’t need to be OTT to be flippin’ amazing. “We kept it really low-key with our ceremony at 3pm on a Friday arvo followed by drinks and nibbles while watching the sunset over the river,” they tell us. “It really was magical. We even managed to get a dance floor happening.”

Following their waterside nup and nibs, the pair headed off for an intimate dinner with family. “We had everything we wanted in four hours, it was perfect. The party finished at 7pm and we went to dinner with our parents and siblings in the private dining room at Matilda Bay Restaurant.” And ofc, superstar photographer Kitty from Kitty Loves Love stepped in to photograph the beautiful day from start to finish – take a look at the beautiful pics and you’ll see why she’s a Hello May fave.

THE VENUE “We chose the Bicton Quarantine Park as it’s a beautiful spot overlooking the river. We also often go for walks there with our little girl, Olivia, and our golden retriever, Pancho.”

LITTLE LOL “Our daughter Olivia, who was 14 months at the time, had this gorgeous dress and a beautiful pink bow to match. Straight after the ceremony she didn’t want the dress or the bow anymore and ended up spending the whole time in her nappy. Kids!”

FAVE DETAILS “I absolutely loved my flowers, Nat from Fleur Societé was incredible, she absolutely nailed the brief. Everyone commented on how beautiful they were. I said wanted big, bold and bright and that’s what I got. They really were the flowers of my dreams.”

WE’RE GLAD WE… “We’re so glad that we ended up having all of our family and friends. We were originally only going to get married in front of our parents and siblings as Sean didn’t really want a big wedding. Over the summer we went to quite a few weddings and I asked Sean if he was sure he didn’t want our friends and extended family too (I was super keen to have everyone). To my delight/surprise, he said that he did want to have everyone.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “Our photographer, Kitty of Kitty Loves Love, was AMAZING. From the moment we met with her, we knew she was the one to capture our special day. She made everything easy and we had so much fun. Sean hates getting his photo taken and to my surprise, he said that it was one of his favourite parts of the day. Kitty and I are still in contact, I definitely feel like I’ve gained a friend.”
