These two lovebirds have been together for a decade, “It was love at first sight – at a dodgy university pub,” they explain. “Unfortunately, Megan initially tried to introduce me to her friend… but I convinced her pretty quickly that I was worth getting to know.” Fast forward to their big day and a host of our fave vendors were involved. Megan walked down the aisle in a stunning alca line bride gown (just before their gorgeous sausage dog pups!), Grew & Co rings were mixed in with other accessories and Fourside Food Design + Events took care of the sit down dinner. Add one of our fave photographers, Elsa Campbell and you can see why this was a wedding we simply had to show you guys. Scroll down for more…

THE VENUE “We always knew we wanted a more earthy, lush vibe and visited a few locations. It wasn’t until we wanted to purchase a monstera that we stumbled upon the Glasshaus (Inside). It’s a stunning location that requires little additional adornment. What’s even better is that we had no green waste, but were still able to achieve a lush terrarium vibe.”

FAVE DETAILS “I loved the flowers by the Glasshaus florist. I described my ideal flowers as handfuls of wildflowers I just scooped up whilst walking in the bush. Their execution was flawless and exactly what I hoped for. I also loved the acoustic set played by Greeves. My entrance song was ‘This Old Love’ by Lior and they were magical.”

THE DRESS “I saw the Billee dress a year before we set the date. The model was walking through the bush wearing boots and I knew that was the exact vibe I was after. I tried on a few other dresses – but they were all too traditionally bridal for me to feel comfortable. Ultimately, when I saw Amy from alca line bride was holding a trunk show in Melbourne, I jumped at the opportunity. Amy was a dream to work with and she was incredibly accommodating.”

REFERENCES “I mostly found my vendors through the Hello May Instagram and through following their vendors’ followers.”

A WORD OF ADVICE “A surefire way of ensuring you invite the right people to your wedding – the ‘porch test’. If you can’t imagine yourself having a wine on the porch with them in five years time, do they really HAVE to be there? It helped us out a lot when we were agonising over the guest list.”

STANDOUT VENDORSElsa Campbell is the most chill person we’ve ever met. She was our absolute favourite vendor as she just ‘got’ us and helped us be in the moment, without focusing on the details. Fourside Food Design + Events for our sit down dinner- Katie was the most amazing person! Super flexible and happy to give us advice on all of our questions.”
