Seriously, how straight-up magic is Morgan and Adam’s big day? The colour palette, the red velvet suit, the styling, the wedding parties… We’re so here for all of it!  “The aesthetic we were going for was a more elegant version of ’70s era glam-rock meets 1930s,” the newlyweds share (um,YES!). “We chose a pink and red colour scheme and wanted guests to feel fabulous and comfortable.”

To add the all-round awesomeness of this wedding held in Mosman, NSW, is the fact Maple and June was tasked with taking the pics. As always, they are INCREDIBLE. Guys, get on it. It’s a goodie!

THE VENUE “We wanted somewhere that felt like being amongst nature, that was easy enough for most guests to get to and picturesque. Athol Hall ticked those boxes and won extra points for being self-contained with on-site catering, DJ/Sound equipment and a wet-weather contingency.”

FAVE DEETS “The flowers stole the show, which is no mean feat since asides from having a stunning view up the harbour, the Vivid light festival was on, so the city skyline was a dazzling rainbow and more beautiful than ever. The cake was exceptional and the venue staff had fantastic attention to detail.”

THE DRESS “I knew I wanted something comfortable and not too removed from styles I normal wear. I love the 1930s tailoring so I did a lot of etsy and vintage searches, the dress I found was super affordable and the most amazing shape, it was literally the perfect fit. I just laundered it a bit (in the process I found some of the original confetti from its prior owners wedding). It was fairly easy to find, and the store owner was fantastic with any questions I needed. ”

THE SUIT “In contrast to Morgan’s impeccable thrift on the dress, I (did what I was instructed to do, and) went all out! Initially, I searched online and at dozens of stores but couldn’t find what I wanted, so I spoke to a few tailors before the maid-of-honour suggested the tailor her husband had used for their wedding and I am SO glad she did because Shane from Rochefort was a legend. The result is an eye-catching jacket in red velvet that shimmers towards pink in some light.”

A TOUCH OF TRADITION “Adam is a secular ‘bacon-eating’ Jew, so we wanted to include some aspects of Jewish tradition, without getting Rabbis involved, and as such chose a celebrant who worked with us to incorporate some elements (such as the huppah, or wedding canopy and stepping on a glass – accompanied by obligatory quip about it being the last time I’ll put my foot down) into the ceremony.”

STANDOUT  VENDORS “The beyond talented Georgia Hull who did all the bridesmaids hair and mother of the brides makeup, she just made the process of getting ready a breeze. Not to forget the wedding photographer Maple and June who not only took the best photos we’ve ever had but kept our wedding party calm, on track and guided us effortlessly.”
