Welcome to the epic wedding of Nadine and Luke. Not only did their day of days in the Southern Highlands involve a glorious outfit change into a cool AF Bec + Bridge mini and  glam courtesy of Grace Roby Hair, but the talented Pia + Jade were in charge of the  lush florals and styling, and Matt Ashton took the most phenom photos. If you’re keen to see and know more, do yourself a favour and scroll down…

THE VIBE “Old-world, elegant, charming garden party. The grounds of Somerleys really set the tone and overall feeling of the day, and the details fell into place from there.”

REFERENCES “There is such a rich ecosystem of wedding vendors working in and around the Southern Highlands, and I started to follow many accounts to get a feel for what felt true to us. We locked in our florist/stylist first, Pia & Jade. Everything that they do is extraordinary, and I immediately gravitated to their styling. There are many amazing photographers out there, but again, I gravitated towards Matt Ashton and his body of work. Besides that, he seemed like a genuine legend, and I felt we’d be comfortable with him.”

FAVE DEETS “We changed the styling brief completely part way through the planning process and decided to incorporate pops of pale blue. The use of delphiniums and hydrangeas felt soft, romantic and ethereal which really complemented the beautiful backdrop of Somerleys and its gardens. The day before the wedding, Dany from Pia & Jade called to say that unfortunately, it was too early in the season to get the pale blue hydrangeas that I had wanted for my bouquet. What she put together instead turned out even better than I had imagined.”

WE’RE GLAD WE… “Did a first look – I was a bundle of nerves and emotions until I saw Luke. It really helped us to hold it together for the ceremony. We also chose to do our signing after the ceremony rather than during. We felt that it flowed better that way.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “We have to shout out our photographer Matt – he’d come to steal us away for a few moments here and there throughout the day, play some tunes on a portable speaker, banter, and take some (incredible!) photos. Luke and I are not necessarily comfortable being in front of a camera and wanted to maximise our time with our guests, but it turned out that these stolen moments just talking, dancing and vibing together were some of our favourite moments of the day.”

Nadine and Luke had a few darn good vendors on their day of days, guys.
