Welcome to the bright and beautiful world of Olivia and Niall, friends. Their epic wedding involved a glorious outfit change, a whole lotta dancing (thanks to phenom entertainers, The White Tree, who also covered photography and cinematography), a seriously delish looking cake (courtesy of Stacy Brewer Cakes, no less) and styling by the talented Pia + Jade. THE VENUE “We eventually settled on The Stables at Bendooley Estate because we were looking for a venue that had country charm and warmth, but was also a fairly neutral space for us to be able to bring in Indian elements and colours. We also wanted our venue to be outside of Sydney so our guests could make a long weekend out of the wedding.”

THE INSPO “We didn’t want our wedding day to feel overly formal. We really just wanted it to be an opportunity for everyone we love to come together and celebrate after the year that was 2020! Niall is Indian so we definitely wanted his culture to be reflected in our wedding through beautiful bold colours and elements of gold, as well as our outfits and the drums.”

FAVE DETAILS “It was amazing to see so many of our family and friends dress up in gorgeous Indian outfits. Even Niall’s entire (very Aussie) footy team! The flowers were also a standout – both from The Faux Fernery and The Ivy League. Our flower brief was bold and bright, and they delivered some of the most beautiful flowers I’ve ever seen! The Faux Fernery are a genius option if you’re looking to save money on flowers and minimise wastage.”

THE DRESS “We both had two outfits – our white dress and suit for the ceremony and then our custom Indian outfits that we changed into for the reception. While we loved our ceremony outfits, it was so much fun surprising everyone with our outfit change (and they were much easier to dance in!). It was a fairly long process getting the outfits made (about eight months) and we went back for multiple fittings, but they were perfect in the end and we felt amazing in them!”

MEMORABLE MOMENT “Making our reception entrance as husband and wife to a saxophone and Indian drum mash up! Our dance floor was also an absolute highlight – The White Tree band were amazing and had everyone on the dance floor when it was still daylight before dinner had been served! We had aunties and uncles dancing up on people’s shoulders, and Niall also stole the mic and treated everyone to an hour-long gig (I think he forgot it was our wedding day).”

STANDOUT VENDORSThe White Tree were fantastic. We used them for photography, videography and as our band. Just a really lovely, down to earth team who were seamless to deal with in the lead up to the wedding and on the day! Every guest we’ve spoken to has told us how much they loved the band (we couldn’t even get people off the dance floor to do our send-off!), and we’ve received so many compliments on the photos too! They really helped us to achieve the relaxed celebration we were aiming for. The Faux Fernery also went above and beyond for us – we still can’t get over the gorgeous hanging installation they created – it was like floral fireworks!”

Olivia and Niall had a few darn good vendors on their day of days, guys.
