Say hi to the lovely Rhiannon and Nick, friends. They are not just genetically blessed (with a cute pup to boot!) but threw one darn beautiful wedding, which also sounds like a whole lotta fun. THE VENUE “We always knew we wanted a wedding in a restaurant rather than a designated venue for weddings. We also love Europe and we thought Porteño had a European feeling about it, even though it’s an Argentinian restaurant. The high atrium ceiling and the fact when you go upstairs for the dance floor you feel like you’re in a whole new venue – Porteño also deliver high quality food and service every time.”
FAVE DETAILS “My flowers [by The Wilds]. I remember when my mum saw my bouquet in the morning, she was so shocked I went for something so bright – pinks and reds – I think I even shocked myself. But I knew they would look so striking not only in the venue but the pillars of roses as the backdrop at the park were so amazing – I couldn’t have been happier.”
THE DRESS “Ah the dress, I didn’t realise how hard it was going to be. A friend of mine sent me Anya from L’eto Bridal’s Instagram and I loved her unique and modern designs. I fell in love with one of her skirts however couldn’t find a top suitable, so we had the skirt made into a dress. It was a process but I loved the end result.”
LITTLE LOL “My mum on the dance floor, the last one standing, I think she thought it was her wedding!”
WE’RE GLAD WE… “We had cocktails on arrival – aperols, negronis and margaritas – our favourites! It was a great party starter. We had a DJ instead of a Band and the dance floor was never empty – we got kicked out at 2am!”
STANDOUT VENDORS “Charis the event planner from Porteño, she was so laid back and chill but on the day she just had it all sorted, we couldn’t have done it with out her. Also our entertainment, DJ Shamus who is a longtime friend of Nicks!”
