THE VENUE “We had never seen any weddings at Chin Chin Sydney but being foodies it was a really important aspect of our wedding to have amazing food and drinks! We wanted a unique and modern venue that catered to our small intimate guest list. After visiting the private dining room we knew straight away it was perfect.”
THE INSPO “Our inspiration for our day was modern, unique and simple. We decided to focus on the elements that were important to us – fashion, food, drinks and the photographs.”
DIY “Jamie being creative and a carpenter, he created our table and chairs for our ceremony. I sourced and created the dried flower arrangements for our table setting at the reception dinner. We wanted dried flowers to be able to keep afterwards and they matched our overall theme. We have these on our bedside tables now, which remind us every day of the happiest day of our lives!”
THE DRESS “My dress was by Willowby by Watters from Hope X Page. Working in the Fashion industry I wanted something modern and cool but feminine and edgy. I followed Alex and the team on Instagram and my dress was the first dress I tried on. I knew instantly I had found ‘the one.’My experience at Hope X Page was perfect, I could not fault anything and their new space is absolutely stunning.”
MEMORABLE MOMENT “It was pouring rain all morning and our ceremony was outdoors at a park. We decided to commit to our ceremony location regardless of the rain and all guests had a clear umbrella at the ready. I arrived with my sister and my Dad in the car and the rain completely just stopped as we pulled up. Jamie and I still laugh about how kind the weather was to us in the particular moment.”
A WORD OF ADVICE “Ensure when planning your day you do it together. Your day should always feel like a perfect representation of you as a couple! We got our speeches done untraditionally as we arrived at our venue to get them out of the way. We all felt much more relaxed after we had them done – we could enjoy the food and plenty of drinks!”
WE’RE GLAD WE… “Bought all of our guests disposable cameras to see their view of the day. We received them while we were on our honeymoon and it was so fun to see everyone’s disposable pictures from the day and relieve special moments! Would recommend doing this.”
