Meet Serena and Matt. They are cool, cute and a little quirky, listing the pigeon pooping on the groom during photos and their dog’s asthma attack as a few fave mems from their day of days. But all lols aside, they had one heck of a day (made even more fun by one of our fave entertainment outfits, The White Tree) and Bello Weddings was there to get the goods on camera. THE VENUE “I like Glasshaus Inside because it’s urban and also very lush and green. It’s like an emerald gem inside of the city. The venue was originally a nursery for plants, and the owners allowed us to use these plants to decorate the surroundings. This allowed us to create a wonderful feeling of being in nature. The selection and positioning of these plants were fantastic and I felt like a lot of thought went into the orientation of everything.”
THE INSPO “Came from Monet’s impressionism style. Serena loves this painting style and therefore this heavily influenced our colour scheme and overall style for the day. I was a huge fan of Twilight and the ceiling decorations were inspired by that.”
THE DRESS “I opted for a nice dress from The Iconic that suited the theme (and was stretchy enough for my pregnant body) also much cheaper!”
MEMORABLE MOMENTS “We have two favourite memories. One was when we were exchanging our vows and our dog Berry decided to have an asthma attack and interrupt us. It was very funny and made the experience light, enjoyable and authentically us. The other favourite moment was when we were taking our final photos outside the venue and a random pigeon decided to poo on Matt.”
A WORD OF ADVICE “Start planning early, be willing to compromise. Remember that you are a team and that working together and not fighting is what will make the whole experience much smoother!”
