Shaun and Stewart have been together for 8 years, and it’s their love of good times that set the tone for their wedding day. Aside from focusing on fab food, dancing and tunes, the boys also indulged in one super lush beige, white and black colour palette. Cue two almost illegally dapper M.J. Bale suits and groomsmaids decked out in all white (with locks wrangled by the legendary The Altar Bridal). FAVOURITE DETAILS “Our Groomsgirls’ speech! They did a combined speech which was incredible and so so special. Also, our amazing Celebrant, Damon Hughes, made us laugh and made us feel relaxed, plus guests loved him. Finally, our flowers were stunning!”
FAVOURITE MOMENTS “During our final song, Shaun and I stood back and watched everyone on the dancefloor absolutely having the best time of their lives. It was truly a special moment to reflect on an epic day and the love in the room!”
LITTLE LOL “Stuart split his pants on the Dance floor! We also managed the Dirty Dance Lift – not sure how, maybe pure adrenaline?”
A WORD OF ADVICE “Honestly, the best advice is to just relax and choose vendors that you both connect with and that you know understand your vision. They are the professionals and they know what they are doing so you can then relax and enjoy the day! Also, great vendors know other great vendors so don’t be afraid to ask! If you have a budget in mind – double it! Finally, don’t be afraid to cut the guest list. A great rule is to have the people there who you would buy dinner for. ”
WE’RE GLAD WE “We are both super pleased we had our amazing Videographer Ashleigh. It wasn’t high on the priority list, due to the budget getting a little out of control, but there was a chance Shaun’s sister might not be able to make it over, due to health reasons, so we asked Rick if he knew anybody that would be keen to do it and Ashleigh was wanting to expand her skills. She is a fantastic photographer, and we knew we were in good hands. We couldn’t be happier with the finished product!”
STANDOUT VENDORS “They were all standouts and all went the extra mile but a special shout out goes to Rick, Ashleigh, Damon, Lark Music, Timmy Knowles and the Zonzo Team!”
