This stylish couple has been together for eight years, getting engaged in Western Australia’s gorgeous town of Esperance after carrying that ring across the Nullarbor! “The proposal happened at sunset atop Frenchman’s Peak looking out across beautiful beautiful beautiful Cape Le Grande National Park,” explains the groom. Dreamy… Also dreamy? Their wedding day blooms by Flos Botanical Studio. I mean, you only have to take one look below and we know you’ll agree. So scroll down for all the pics by Tori & Sal

LITTLE LOL “Josh kept his prep pretty casual. He only put his suit (which still had tailor’s chalk on it) in with the dry cleaner a couple of days before the wedding- a fairly shady looking local dry cleaner at that. The morning of the wedding he went to pick it up, and the dry cleaners couldn’t find it. Just as he was getting into full panic mode, a guy walks in and says ‘you’ve given me the wrong suit’, unzips his bag and reveals Josh’s tux! Josh also had a little plastic surgery before the big day, after falling over at his bucks and cutting his cheek open!”

THE VENUE “We looked at half a dozen venues and loved the space at The Craft & Co and their laid back approach. They made it all seem easy. We also loved that it was in our local neighbourhood, as we wanted to get married in a location that had some meaning for us as a couple and having it all in the one place was key.”

FAVOURITE DETAILS “The flowers- Flos Botanical Studio did such and amazing job. They really made the venue ours. The bridesmaids’ dresses- I want one for myself! I thought they looked so classic and beautiful with the flowers.”

THE DRESS “I tried on quite a few dresses and sort of liked them all! But I’d been eyeing off Lola Varma for a while and loved their minimal and interesting designs. They were great to deal with and I really enjoyed the experience.”

FAVOURITE DETAILS “We did photos before the ceremony and reception so we could have the maximum amount of time with our family and friends. We didn’t want the photos to be too posed, so we just organised for the bridal party to meet beforehand at Napier Quarter– a beautiful wine bar around the corner from the venue. It was really special. Also, Josh got together a few bandmates and musical family members and surprised our guests by breaking into some live tunes immediately after our first dance. One of them was ‘Love is in the air’, with me on the maracas to get the party started.”

A WORD OF ADVICE “Feel free to do things a bit differently. Instead of having one MC, we asked different friends to do different parts. They were all amazing and it worked really well! We were worried that having various MCs wouldn’t work. But in the end, they made the day so much more unique and a reflection of us.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “Our photographer Tori of Tori & Sal was great! I also really loved our florist Flos Botanical Studio and hair and makeup artists. They just got it and made the day fun! Also, Josh’s sister was unofficial celebrant and absolutely nailed the ceremony. Making a special effort to include those present in the ceremony, as well as telling some great little stories about us as part of it!”
