Celebrating 10 years together, Tiff and Jeremy (or JP to his mates), chose one of the coolest venues in the heart of Melbourne The Wool Mill, coupled with one of the coolest photographers we know (oh hey there, Katie Harmsworth) to make their magic day happen. Totally gorg in a custom-made couture pantsuit, Tiff fills us in on all the deets below…

THE VENUE “We picked The Wool Mill because it offered a few key features we couldn’t look past: 1. A separate ceremony and dining space that were both big enough to feel spacious, 2. that meant guests didn’t need to move venues for a winter wedding in Melbourne and 3. being a relatively blank canvas we could make the space our own.”

THE INSPO “Both of us enjoy things that are a little bit different, a little bit quirky and a little bit boujee, so we wanted to follow this vibe throughout the day. We also had guest experience front of mind, which influenced a lot of the decisions we made – things like all-night cocktails, a personalised wine selection and signature spirits for both sides of the family to kick-start the night.”

FAVE DEETS “Our seating chart and menus, which Nudo produced turned out better than expected. For the seating chartI’d drawn up what I was going for and they reproduced it spectacularly on the day. For our menus, JP and I both wanted something a little different, so we made the decision to provide our own wines, being big wine enthusiasts ourselves. Our wine choices were not at random – each had a purpose for being there and we included this in the menu in the accompanying description, eg. we chose a Pinot Grigio that we drank on our engagement. Everything meant something to us as a couple.”

MEMORABLE MOMENT “We loved having a first look and are so grateful we got to do it at our favourite bar in Melbourne. Not only did it mean we could spend our time on the day wisely (especially being winter with the sun setting just after 5pm), but we got to have cocktails in the most spectacular bar, which we has all to ourselves, and allowed us to chill out together for a bit before we invited our immediate family to join for photos. Not only do the photos [from Katie Harmsworth] look insane, but we got to share our key moments with the people closest to us before the wedding itself. “

CUTE CUSTOM “For me, being Greek Cypriot, the morning of the wedding my mum, dad and grandmother each passed a red scarf around my waist three times, as they all had done to them on their own wedding days. This is meant to symbolise fertility and bless me. The same grandmother also gave me an evil eye to have on me during the day which I had sewn into my outfit.”

A WORD OF ADVICE “Make all your decisions together, pay close attention to your budget and line item everything! We had intense spreadsheets going on and date stamps against prices so when things went up or down we knew what that looked like for us. Also, ensure you ask lots of questions – even the stupid ones! There’s nothing worse than working off assumptions and finding out too late. “
