These two sweethearts have been together for ten years. Despite the hefty courtship, Nick was still so nervous to propose that he ended up on two knees instead of one, begging his lovely lady to take him on for life. Luckily for him, Torah was just as stoked and it was a big fat yes. What ensued was one heck of a pristine wedding day. We’re talking a whole gang of M.J. Bale clad groomsmen, Poppy & Fern florals, Modern Love Ceremonies on the legalities and The Future Mrs on hair and makeup. To top it all off, one of our fave lens-dudes Shane Shepherd was on hand to snap pics. Scroll down for details and his mighty fine handiwork…

THE VENUE “We spent one day looking at venues and saw four in total. Figtree was the first venue we looked at and we both instantly loved it. We would have been happy to call it after that but we went and looked at the other venues. They just didn’t have that same feeling that we got from Figtree. We made the decision that same day and we were so happy with our choice.”

THE DRESS “I was so lucky to have my good friend Kate Willa make my dress for me. She was so incredible and managed to decipher exactly what I wanted even when being bombarded with a million inspo pics that were all completely different. It was really special to be able to work with a friend and I was absolutely blown away by what she created.”

LITTLE LOL “Nick definitely wasn’t a groomzilla and really let me run wild with the planning, adding his few requests in every once in a while. I used to love when people would ask him how the planning was going and ask if he was he stressed and he used to answer that it’s actually been really easy and not stressful at all.”

A WORD OF ADVICE “If you’re not a great organiser, like me, make sure you choose your bridesmaids wisely. My older sister was an absolute lifesaver and kept me on track the whole time.”

WE WISH WE “We wish we ate more! We were so busy saying hello to everyone that we didn’t get to enjoy all the food which everyone raved about after. Definitely make time to stop and eat and enjoy every part of your wedding.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “We absolutely loved our celebrant Cara [Modern Love Ceremonies]. She was so incredible and really took the time to get to know us and make sure that our ceremony really reflected us as a couple, it was our favourite part of the day. Our photographer, Shane Shepherd, was also amazing. He played music the whole time and made everyone laugh and it made our getting ready photos so much fun!”
