VIVA LAS VEGAS! That was the theme when these two cuties tied the knot at The Rochey pub, after 11 years together… “10 of which I was waiting for a ring,” Una laughed. “Our first trip overseas together was to the US. In a campervan, we drove down Highway 1 and ended up in Vegas – a weird and wonderful place that has stayed with us forever.”

FAVE DEETS “Although it may have seemed ridiculous at the start, stipulating a pink dress code, with a Vegas wedding twist formed the catalyst of all the details that followed. From the delicious blooms by Urban Antidote, to pink plinths, neon signs and love heart balloons, the whole place felt like a dreamy love bubble.”
LITTLE LOL “My brother Sule, who was our celebrant, was dressed head-to-toe in an Elvis costume, which he committed to the whole evening – it really added to the theme.”
THE DRESS “We’d originally planned a big wedding and I’d picked a dress from Marquise Bridal. But Covid and lockdowns saw us shift dates and eventually cancel, and the gown I’d picked no longer fit the brief. When I called Megan from Marquise Bridal to tell her our new plans. She said, ‘I’ve got the perfect dress for you, the Shake Your Bon Bon mini.’ That sounded great to me.”
MEMORABLE MOMENT “Our PHENOMENAL photographer, Maddie, had organised a tour through Fitzroy which would commence two hours prior to the ceremony. We met outside of Rose Chong’s Costume Shop where we had the first look. We started off with drinks at Evie’s Diner and tequila shots at Hotel Jesus. In between, we partied through the streets, without a care in the world. It felt like we were in a state somewhere between a dream and a movie – enjoying ourselves with our best friends. Our day wouldn’t have been the same without Maddie. Honestly, we’ve made a friend for life. She made us feel like pros in front of the camera and the result speaks volumes.”
A WORD OF ADVICE… “HAVE FUN! At the end of the day, who are you? And what do you care about? Focusing in on those elements will ensure you have the most positive experience possible.”
