With a cruise-y two year engagement, Raymi and Conal were no fuss when it came to planning their elopement in tropical Fiji.
“Take your time researching vendors and venues,” said the bride. “Fiji is such a beautiful place and once you’ve found the right team everything just falls into place and you can focus on the two of you enjoying the day for what it’s really all about.”
Of course the fabulous team behind the styling, photography, cinematography and all the rest were the wonder workers behind Kama Catch Me, who the couple agree went above and beyond in bringing their vision to life. “On the day it was windy and rained here and there but Ropate worked with everything to capture how beautiful and special the day was on camera. Gitte made the most beautiful flower arrangements and helped us organise a lead up that would have otherwise been extremely stressful for both of us.”
When it came to finding ‘the dress’, Raymi tells us she happened upon her gorgeous Spell and The Gypsy Collective frock when searching for everyday clothing on their website. “I saw they had a bridal range so started looking and as soon as I saw the dress I just thought ‘that one!’. I wanted something that was feminine, unique and would be good for an outdoor wedding. I tried it on after it arrived and it was just as perfect as I thought it would be.”
As far as stand out moments went, Raymi says for her it was saying their vows to one another. “I was crying the whole time. Straight after we said them it started to rain and the celebrant said that in Fijian culture it was a good sign!”
