Originally a talented accessories designer, Sydney girl Kristi Bonnici recently decided to try her toes in something else. Luckily for us, that decision has lead to the release of an amazing range of dreamy bridal gowns. The kind even non-brides want just to wear around their lounge room and feel pretty.
Titled “Anatomy of the Spirit”, her ready to wear range was inspired by the quote £ I am, two of the most powerful words. For what you put after them shapes your reality and aims to encapsulate the true spirit of the Kristi Bonnici brand – timeless, romantic, sophisticated and truly unique.
The collection features exclusively developed textile prints, hand beading, French laces and Swarovski crystals. Each gown is made by hand either at Kristi Bonnici’s Sydney studio or by local artisans living within a five kilometre radius to create a unique and thoughtful product. Swooning over her latest lookbook, we think her homegrown approach was another winning choice.
The dresses are available from size 8 through to 14 and most feature add on options such as lace trains, crystal tulle godets and detachable beaded skirts, enabling brides to modify their look and cater to a certain budget.
Dress prices start from $2695, with co-ordinating accessory prices starting from $450. Dresses are made to order only and will be available exclusively online at www.kristibonnici.com.au and in the Kristi Bonnici showroom from mid March 2014.
