After a holiday spent in Byron listening to live music, eating fresh food and soaking up the sun, Leanne & Troy knew they’d found their wedding destination. THE VIBE “We wanted it to be elegant yet understated: White and bamboo furniture styled back with cushions of sage, white, earthy tones and raffia. Dried palm, neutral florals and wild grass installations creating texture and depth. Statement table settings with sage napkins, raffia placemats, candles and florals with large wicker pendant lighting.”
FAVOURITE DETAILS “The flowers were absolutely breathtaking. Jaala at Bower Botanicals had listened to exactly what I wanted. The big ceramic pot flower arrangements making up the arbour at the end of the aisle had the complete wow factor and the floral arrangements on the reception tables made such a statement. Jaala went way beyond my expectations.”
COOL CUSTOM “We included both mine and Troy’s mums in the wedding ceremony. We have very young nieces and nephews on each side of the family who were our flower girls and page boy. Our mothers held their hands and walked them down the aisle before the bridesmaids walked out. Our mums are such a huge part of our lives and we wanted them to be somehow included in the ceremony.”
A WORD OF ADVICE “Everyone says it to you BUT you really don’t notice all the minor details on the day. Whilst planning, the smallest details became such big decisions that we lost sleep over. I had to scroll through my photos to see if things I had organised came to fruition as they went unnoticed on the day. You are just so wrapped in each other and having a great time with your loved ones that everything else really does not matter. Don’t lose sight of what the wedding day actually means to you.”
STANDOUT VENDOR “I was immediately drawn to Nina’s photography as I felt her photographs were so natural that the photos would remain timeless for decades to come. Everyone felt comfortable around Nina, a lot of the time you didn’t even know she was there yet she didn’t seem to miss a moment! We could not be happier with the photos from our day. Nina truly captured all of the special moments and we will cherish them for years to come.”
