Recently engaged and wondering where the heck to start with the whole styling/ theme/planning thing? Start right here and you can’t possibly go wrong. This lush styled shoot was first conceptualised by Natalie of A Tactile Perception – a  detail-oriented, creative, and unique wedding stationery business – and captured by the talented Love Bomb Photos. It is full to the brim of the most gorgeous details guaranteed to give you topnotch inspo for your very own big day.

Titled “Enchanting Love”, Natalie says the concept is inspired by the “juxtaposition of wild free-flowing forms in nature, and bold elegance delivered by carefully considered styling elements. Key to the concept was a passionate energy between our couple, and a vibrant colour palette that injected personality into each part of the celebration. Unique details were really important to us, to showcase what a team of creatives can bring when couples allow us to express ourselves – elements such as the escort card display, the detailed lining of the suit, the lace sleeve on the dress, the chess board, the coloured champagne tower, and so much more, all came together to convey the enchantment in this styled shoot.”

We are head over heels for  the delicious elements, and vibrant, bang on-trend colour palette, which includes none other than the Pantone Colour of the Year for 2024, Peach Fuzz. That peachy dream Silvana Tedesco gown is drop-dead gorg. Follow along as we chat to each of the creatives responsible for this incredible work, which took place in the stunning Yarra Valley…

A TACTILE PERCEPTION

Stationery star Natalie created the concept for Enchanting Love, a vibrant and mesmerizing vibe reflected in not only the bold colour palette but also the passionate energy between our couple. “We showcased maximalism in the colours and the styling because we believe that every couple has a unique personality that should be celebrated on the biggest day of their lives,” she says. “I created a statement escort card display, an element that I would love to see more of in weddings.  The contemporary invitation suite and matching table stationery were created with textured card stock, custom shapes, and bright colours to carry important detailing throughout the whole event.”

LOVE BOMB PHOTOS

“The ‘Enchanting Love’ shoot was an opportunity to lean into the luxurious, delicious mood of the dark bar and romantic candlelit dinner but with the brightness of the florals and decadence of the surroundings,” says photographer Hailey. “Our models made our job so easy to sink into the chemistry we all wanted to demonstrate through this shoot – their connection was electric and with all the elements that the contributing vendors helped pull together, I feel we were really able to embody that vibe we all hope to see in our wedding photos. It was fun, it was stylish.”

PARADISE HUNTER

The styling extraodinnaire behind this beautiful set-up, Cailtin of Paradise Hunter shares,” My styling inspiration revolved around using modern and contemporary  pieces to elevate the vibrant colour palette. Opting for a daring mix of bold and vivacious colours, we wanted the florals to be the undisputed focal point of the entire set-up, contrasting against the classic, pared back, yet sophisticated tableware to create a visual feast for the senses. The intentional placement of bold  elements encouraged exploration and was designed to lead the eye around the tables. The result was a captivating visual tension that kept the eye constantly engaged, injecting life and energy into the overall vibe!”

EDWARD & I

Bold, artful, immersive designs are what Melbourne-based florist Cassandra is all about. “With this always at the forefront of our work, we wanted to create something which represented this for the photoshoot,” she says. “Tones of orange, peach, berry and lilac were hero colours. Along with fruits which added another layer of interest. I wanted the flowers to feel playful, yet romantic and luxurious.”

ZEE SCOTT

One of our absolute favourite celebrants, Melbourne-based Zee (who marries couples all over Oz) says she was was desperate to be involved in this stunning day. “The vendors, the colours and the mood of the shoot… it was all a dream! My aim is always to add a bit of spark as a celebrant. A big smile and laughter to let viewing couples see how fun weddings can be!”

BALGOWNIE ESTATE

The goal of this shoot was to showcase the diverse experiences and spaces available at the beautiful Yarra Valley venue – Balgownie Estate. “From the refined comfort of our 70 accommodation rooms and suites to the intimate atmosphere of the wine tasting room, where special moments unfold in smaller wedding lunches or dinners, each space tells a distinctive story. The Melba Room exemplifies our capacity for hosting large-scale weddings. Additionally, the Balgownie Deck, among our three unique ceremony locations, emphasises our commitment to providing couples with picturesque settings for their vows. The essence of being a one-stop-shop resonates throughout the photoshoot. We aimed to highlight that couples can seamlessly transition from ceremony to celebration.”

SUITABLY

Based in Melbourne but servicing all of Australia, Suitably offers custom-made, bespoke, quality suits for the guys. When it came styling this dapper groom, the team at Suitably said. “We wanted to create something that was half Hugh Hefner in the Playboy mansion and half bubblegum pop. The intricate detailing on the lapel in the contrasting cream was created to build visual interest in the overall look and create a feel of old-world luxury.”

ALWAYS EVENTIVE

Tasked with providing the hire items to take this styling to the next level, Simone and the team at Yarra Valley-based Always Eventive came through with the goods. “Our first aim involved utilising our unique hire pieces of neutral (black and white) colour tones to accentuate those vibrant colour palettes; such as the showcase of the graduated colour palettes of the ‘our favourite people’ envelopes on our matte white arch backdrops, the black plinths to emphasise the beautiful floral bouquet designs and black chaise lounge to showcase the bride and groom’s gown and suit,” Simone shares. “Those same neutral white and black tones were also utilised in the opposite manner for our personalised acrylic signage – to make those small, yet elegant personal touches, a prominent feature and talking point, such as the couple’s initials in matte white acrylic against the dark woodgrain of the bar.”
