Including nature in your nuptials can be a lovely thing, as Alice and Bryant discovered when they found the breathtaking rock cathedral at the Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat in Sydney’s south. “We wanted to celebrate the beauty of the venue, so we kept it pretty simple and relaxed,” says the bride, who wore a stunning Grace Loves Lace dress. And having known photographer Matt Godkin since they were ten years old, the groom, Bryant knew exactly who he wanted to shoot their big day. Add Tillee Music into the mix and this was one darn good wedding. Scroll down for all the pics…

FAVOURITE DETAILS “Would have to be the flowers. Our florist Annie from Francis Floristry did an amazing job of bringing out the natural beauty and highlighting it throughout the ceremony and reception. I love flowers and Annie did the most amazing job. No words can describe how amazing our flower arch for our ceremony was. That paired with the natural surroundings was so much more beautiful than I could have imagined.”

THE DRESS  “I have always loved and followed Grace Loves Lace on Instagram, so when we got engaged I knew exactly where I wanted to get my dress from. My mum, my sister and I flew up to their studio in Burleigh and the girls were so lovely. The Inca was the first dress I tried on, and I knew that it was the dress I would buy. I didn’t have to be strapped in or anything, it just went over the top of my head. It was so effortlessly beautiful and still made me feel like me. I have always been self conscious of myself and my body, but when I was wearing the Inca the self doubt and self judging wasn’t there anymore and it made me feel feminine.

REFERENCESMatt Godkin Photography, our celebrant Mark Soper and our florist, Francis Floristry, are all friends of ours. We came across Tillee Music when we were at an open day at the venue. Their duo of Jerry and Greg were playing and it sounded incredible! We spoke to Nat who was there with the boys and she was so lovely and helpful.

WE’RE GLAD WE… “Had a BBQ banquet for dinner provided by our caterer Caterina in Kangaroo Valley. Everyone said how much they liked the idea of being able to help themselves to what they wanted, and how amazing the food tasted.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “They were all a standout! From Matt Godkin Photography and his assistant jumping from rock to rock to get the perfect shots, Yen the makeup artist and Sandra the hair stylist being so amazing at what they do, Jerry and Greg from Tillee Music being so talented and creating the most amazing mood with their music to Annie from Francis Floristry who worked for three days to create the most amazing flower arch and table settings.”
