Meet Bella and Tom, who officially became a couple on New Year’s Day in 2016. Eight years later, the pair progressed to Mr and Mrs at a family property by the sea in the stunning Victorian town of Sorrento, with Bella looking damn fine in a gorg Luci Di Bella creation. Planning pretty much the whole shebang from their newfound home in London was no easy feat, but these two managed to pull off an oh-so chic celebration, filled to the brim with luxe little touches. They also made the very clever choice to task the talented Georgia Verrells with taking photos, and man, did she nail it! Scroll down to see all the sweet snaps and hear from the newylweds…

THE VENUE “Tom and I love the sea and are lucky to have our families so close to each other there. We knew that we wanted to marry somewhere that was meaningful and familiar to both sides so it just felt right. Planning wasn’t going to be straight forward from London so we safeguarded as much as we could. St. John’s church was perfect for the ceremony, and gave us reassurance whatever the weather. Doing the reception at home gave us more flexibility and the freedom of time on and around the big day.”

THE DRESSWe were lucky to visit home and knock off as much planning as we could in January just under a year before the wedding day. I had one day put aside with my mum and maid of honour to find a dress. By the time we made it to Luci Di Bella, I had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted and she had the vision to bring it to life! I knew I wanted to spend the whole day in my dress but have two different looks. I was able to start the day in an elegant tulle overskirt and then remove it to reveal this classic column dress underneath. Trusting Luci and her team was one of the easiest decisions I had to make. She wasn’t fussed by the distance or squeezing in final fittings just before the day.”

FAVE DEETS “We loved the idea of including cosmos flowers on the day, as we see them a lot in London. Both our parents grew some in the lead up to the wedding. Even though they were out of supply for main floral arrangements, I was able to include the home grown bunches in the bouquet, which was even more sentimental.”

LITTLE LOL “Dance practise. Tom is a free spirit when it comes to dancing. We wanted to do a traditional first dance to our song, When You Say Nothing aAt All by Ronan Keating. It’s from a favourite film, Notting Hill. (For the record, Tom cries every time). It’s not easy to dance to. We had two lessons in London before we flew back. We were in a shared studio with complete professionals – we instantly started regretting the idea but our instructor (and all of the other dancers) were so patient with us and our song choice!”

STANDOUT VENDORS “White Top Venues were amazing. They were always one step ahead. And our photographer Georgia Verrells was fantastic. She went above and beyond to make sure we got every angle and made us feel totally at ease the whole day. Even though we weren’t able to meet before the wedding, it didn’t matter. Georgia is a natural.”
