All the feels at Hannah and Lucy’s days of days. Surrounded by just 16 of their nearest and dearest and with the lovely Tina Buri Celebrant officiating, the two gals tied the knot, before sharing the most special news that they were having a baby! Cue tears of utter joy. Kitty Loves Love caught all the emotions and more on camera. Scroll down to see…

THE VENUE “We came across Rebel Rebel on Instagram and instantly fell in love! It was such a vibe. We wanted somewhere funky and modern and completely different to a traditional wedding venue, and Rebel Rebel catered for just that. We also loved that we could select an all-inclusive package, so we wouldn’t need to worry about booking a celebrant or a photographer. After a few emails back and forth with owners Kitty and Charlotte, we had such a good feeling about the space that we decided to book it, even though we hadn’t seen it. Living over 700km from Perth meant we had to take a risk! It totally paid off.”

THE INSPO “We wanted the day to be bold and bright, with kitsch and quirky touches. The space did most of the talking anyway, so we really only needed to add a few personal touches to make it uniquely ours.”

FAVE DEETS Our cake by Perth Cake Collective was super fun. The retro cake trend just hit Insta as we started planning our wedding, and we both knew that was exactly what we wanted without even consulting one other. We were stoked to find that Perth Cake Collective offered a couple of vegan flavours, because we’re both vegan and didn’t want to miss out on cake (arguably the best part of a wedding)! We went for a vanilla cake with strawberry jam, and it tasted just as good as it looked.”

THE FITS: (Hannah) “I had worn a similar Aje dress in bubble gum pink to my brother’s wedding earlier in the year. I loved the style and the fit, and when I saw it came in white, I knew that was my wedding dress. I wanted something feminine, modern, and elegant, that was casual enough to suit the laid-back vibe of the day. The Aje Mimosa Cut Out Midi was exactly that. The pièce de resistance was the Harriette Gordon hair bow, which was a fun, princess-y alternative to a veil.
Lucy: Hannah showed me this pants and top combo on Dissh and I knew it was the one. When you know, you know. It looked sleek but fun, and I liked that it was an outfit that I could wear again. Even though it was quite casual, I knew I could dress it up with my Harriette Gordon veil and ruby red velvet Forever Soles heels.”

MEMORABLE MOMENT “So many parts of our day were incredibly special. We have very fond memories of just the two of us getting ready together, reading our vows to each other, eating Lord of the Fries vegan burgers after the ceremony, and sharing laughter and tears with our guests during the speeches at dinner. However, announcing our pregnancy has got to be at the top of our list. Most of our guests knew we’d been undergoing IVF over the course of the year but only a few people knew we’d actually fallen pregnant. We decided to announce it while our photographer, was still with us so she could capture our friends’ reactions. We’re so glad we did! These are some of our favourite photos from the wedding. There were gasps, and tears, and lots of hugs. It was a really special moment.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “We’re so lucky in that every single one of our vendors went above and beyond. However, a special shoutout must go to our photographer (and Rebel Rebel co-owner), Kitty Loves Love, who not only took awesome photos but calmed our nerves, provided heaps of advice, and even drove us to the ceremony!”
