We just love a wedding held on a family property. And Kate and Pat’s takes the cake. With water views, and lush greenery as far as the eye can see, we know exactly why the couple would have picked this spot to say I do. From the bride’s gorg Luci Di Bella Design House to the immaculate styling, every little detail was just *chef’s kiss*. Of course, it did help that their vendors were an absolute dream team, including Little Wolf Entertainment in charge of tunes and Jean Bremner behind the lens. So go on, we know you want to take a squiz…

THE VENUE “We both liked the idea of having the day somewhere special and so decided to have the wedding at my grandparents’ house, next door to where I grew up, on the Bellarine Peninsula. Over the years I had cheekily hinted to Pat that we should get married there and so it was lovely for it to become a reality.”

THE DRESS “I knew I’d found the one when I met Luci at Luci Di Bella Design House. I had a vague idea of what I was after but definitely needed a helping hand. The brief was something classic with a little bit of a twist and Luci was the perfect person to create a dress that I loved. I can’t fault the overall experience, I trusted Luci every step of the way and loved how she always aimed to create something that was beautiful but also reflected me as a person.”

REFERENCES “Once we knew we were going to have our wedding at my grandparents I did a mad rush of emailing all of the main vendors to see what availability they had and if we could actually make the day happen. We mostly found our vendors through word of mouth and like Hello May.”

LITLLE LOL “The groom and groomsmen deciding on a 4am swim was very memorable.”

MEMORABLE MOMENT “Just as everyone was entering the marquee, we had this wild storm whip through. There was so much wind and rain but it was quite beautiful watching it all unfold over the bay. After dinner and a round of speeches it was completely calm outside and this rainbow appeared. Everyone flocked outside and enjoyed the moment together. I remember feeling so happy looking out at everyone and thinking how lucky are we to be celebrating this moment with all these special people”.

STANDOUT VENDORS “We were so lucky to have so many great vendors. They truly did make the whole experience so much easier and were a pleasure to work with. I think special mentions would have to go to: Our photographer Jean and videographer Stu, who made us feel so relaxed throughout the day and kept things natural, despite not normally feeling very comfortable in front of the camera! Tim from Little Wolf Entertainment was incredible on the acoustic guitar and was a brilliant DJ for later in the night and had everyone up and dancing.”
