After three venues fell through on this couple, they were left with only three months to plan their big day, most of which was DIY. But we think you’ll agree, they did a darn good job! “It all seems so funny looking back now, probably not so much in the midst of it all,” explains Britt. Bulb Creative were the ones to capture it all on camera, so scroll down for all the gorgeous photography and don’t miss the film at the very end…

THE VENUEWhen we finally found The Providence Farm Hall we couldn’t go past it. It’s got the natural landscape and beautiful views that so many other venues provided but without all the restrictions and setbacks. The price was drastically cheaper, the farmer is one of the kindest and helpful men, and the toilets, parking and an undercover back up plan were all provided which made the DIY thing so much easier.”

THE VIBE “A relaxed, boho, festival style wedding that had informal sitting areas that spilled from under the teepee onto the grass and under the stars. However, due to the rain, all outdoor rugs, cushions, benches, and bails of hay were moved in under the teepee. It ended up being the most beautiful night with everyone sitting close and cozy together. Turns out that a bit of rain can bring everyone closer together than you could plan!”

FAVOURITE DETAILSThe Moroccan rugs brought in our style and created the exact look and theme we desired. We also had neon hearts at the back of the grazing table which lit up so beautifully under the teepee. And the copious amounts of lanterns!

DIY “Our sister-in-law created the most BEAUTIFUL welcome sign that was better than anything I could have hired. The floral arrangement that surrounded it made it that extra bit special. We did our own florals and bouquets and we set the entire reception space up ourselves the day before.”

THE DRESSWas from Grace Loves Lace and it was one of the easiest things to find. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was the one. I loved it because it’s not a classic wedding dress. My style has always veered in a bohemian direction so to wear a dress that hugs my figure but allows me to still be me – it was a win, win!”

MEMORABLE MOMENT One of my favourite moments was not letting the rain stop us from our first dance under the naked teepee. The music started and the rain started to fall heavier. The rain didn’t relent but we continued to dance and couldn’t help but laugh, smile, and fall more and more in love in that soggy moment. It was genuinely one of our favourite moments of all time.”

WE’RE GLAD WE…Spent money on the things that were important to both of us and not so much on the things that people wouldn’t care about in the end. It’s a fine line when you have a Pinterest worthy wedding in your head but you’re working with a budget. For example, I knew my shoes weren’t going to be a focus so I chose to go with a style of shoe that suited but wasn’t a big brand to help cut costs. Luckily I did because they were covered in mud by the end of the night!”

STANDOUT VENDORSMy photographers (Bulb Creative) and videographer (Jarod Lucas) couldn’t have done a better job. I was stressed and sad the morning of when I realised the clouds were getting darker. They were so patient, kind, encouraging and genuinely caring. They went above and beyond, not just on the day, but before and afterwards, too. They both over-delivered on their product showing true professionalism. Willow & Luna Events were also a dream to work with. Tessa was the most generous soul and even threw in some extra goodies. Her items exceeded my expectations and helped to create the perfect look.”
