We are a little bit speechless here guys. Elle and Carina’s coastal-inspired day can only be described as, well… divine. To top it off, BOTH brides (who are teachers at the same school) wore Karen Willis Holmes gowns whilst their respective bride tribes were decked out in Shona Joy. Perfection. Their nuptials were officiated by the talented Rachael Calvert and you might just want to scroll down to take a peep at Fiona Vail’s loved up captures below. THE VENUE “The venue [Avalon Coastal Retreat] that we ended up deciding on was owned by the same people who own the retreat where we got engaged. When we found out the property had breathtaking views of Maria Island and Freycinet and that it came with its own private beach and huon pine bathtub we were instantly sold! We also loved the fact that when the night ended we were already at our accommodation.”

FAVOURITE DETAILS “The personal touches that were made were stunning. Bek personally sourced vintage furs for all of our female guests to ensure they didn’t feel the chill of the coastal breeze. We loved the shell, sea glass and driftwood that Bek sourced from her personal collection for our tables. Every personal detail only added to the intimacy and magic of the day.”

THE DRESSES “Both our dresses were from Karen Willis Holmes. After months of stalking KWH gowns online, Elle fell in love with the Celine gown, tried it on and instantly knew it was the one. I tried a few different designers but nothing felt quite right. Elle suggested I check out KWH. The amazing ladies at KWH made sure I didn’t even lay eyes on the gown Elle had chosen. We both knew we had chosen a KWH gown but had no idea what each other had chosen, let alone that they were from the same collection. We trusted in the ladies at KWH when they reassured us we had chosen different gowns.”

A WORD OF ADVICE “Hire Bek Burrows! She is INCREDIBLE! In all seriousness, the best thing we did was hire somebody who knew their way around the wedding industry. Find somebody who listens to your ideas and hopes for what you want your wedding day to be, someone who does everything they can to make it all happen for you. We were so lucky to find that person and it made planning our wedding such a fun and relaxed experience.”

WE’RE GLAD WE “Looking back we feel so happy that we were able to spend the day together before we got married. Originally we planned to separate in the morning but ultimately decided to spend as much time together as possible.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “From the moment we heard about Light Noise Films we couldn’t wait to work with them. Bree and Brooke were so easy to work with and made everyone involved in our wedding feel super relaxed to the point where we forgot that we were being filmed. The final product is simply perfect. We couldn’t be happier with our wedding video. Every important moment of the day was beautifully captured by these amazing ladies. The tiny moments that were lost amongst the business of the day were relived the moment we watched our wedding video. We cannot recommend them enough!”
