After meeting in high school, Em and Trav “played it cool” until their first year of university when they started dating and never looked back, adding their cat Mooncake to the mix in 2021. They chose the chic and sleek Yarra Valley Zonzo Estate for their celebration with their 100-plus nearest and dearest, and hired some of the best of the best to make it happen. Pomp & Splendour brought the wow factor with showstopping florals, Baker Boys Band were in charge of tunes and the amazing Nikki McCrone snapped all the special mems. Scroll down to see…

THE INSPO “Simple elegance and being able to share a big, beautiful sit-down dinner with family and friends. We wanted the vibe of the wedding to reflect us a couple, and whilst is sounds like a cliché – be a big party.”

FAVE DEETS “Pomp & Splendour did our floral arrangements and walking down the aisle was one of my favourite moments of the day. We wanted a mix of bright florals and autumn foliage to juxtapose with my bridesmaids, who were in black. The arbour that had been set up in the Capella was incredible and it made the ceremony feels so bright and fresh.”

THE DRESS “Georgia Young Couture was our fourth stop, and I was encouraged to try on dresses that I wouldn’t necessarily lean towards. As soon as I tried on my dress, I knew it was right. Georgia was incredibly supportive throughout the whole process and encouraged me to change the gown slightly so I could wear it partially off the shoulder. It was such an easy, relaxed experience and I couldn’t recommend her more highly.”

REFERENCES “We relied on Hello May for a suggested list of vendors and then harassed our photographer (thank you, Nikki!) very early on for her suggestions. Em also managed to hold down a full-time job and stalk Instagram profiles religiously, which led us to discovering Megan Harrison our makeup artist and Pomp & Splendour.”

STANDOUT VENDOR “Our photographer Nikki McCrone. Nikki brings a vibe that you cannot emulate. She was cool, calm and collected, while still making sure we had so much fun, all the time. You spend so much time with your photographer so having a great relationship was important to us. We have continued to cling to her post-wedding.”
