Lovebirds Erin and Craig proposed to each other simultaneously in what is one of our fave proposal stories to date. Erin explains,On the finish line of the 2017 Port Macquarie Ironman, I stood holding a sign reading “will you marry me?”. To my surprise, he ran up, got down on one knee and presented a ring and proposed to me! It was unplanned, a complete surprise and very special.” Only their big day could top that! Erin walked down the aisle in a stunning Rue De Seine gown that the lovely ladies at The Bridal Atelier insisted she try on. The couple tied the knot under a lush arbour of cottontails and peonies. THE VENUE “Craig’s family suggested we marry in my hometown, Gloucester. After seeing a couple of venues, we met with Shelley Faull who also had her wedding at Faull’s Ridge, and the decision was easy. Such a beautiful location and something special to our hearts (and home!).”

THE VIBE  “Country bohemian perhaps? A relaxed, fun atmosphere but with a semi-formal dress code. We don’t get that much in the country and it’s always nice to dress up a bit.”

FAVOURITE DETAILS “My uncle had an amazing cake he used to make when I was a kid. I hadn’t had it in over 15 years but remembered it so fondly. My uncle had lost the recipe many years ago. Upon him moving overseas, he happened to find the recipe and gave it to my now husband, who is a keen cook. Craig practised the cake 3 times – and I had the pleasure of sampling it to make sure it was just as I remembered. It is made predominantly of Haigh’s chocolate and tastes divine.”

THE DRESS “As I was waiting to try on a dress at The Bridal Atelier, the assistant asked if I would try on a Rue de Seine gown. When I came out, my friend’s eyes welled up and we just knew it was perfect. Whilst it is unique it is still so beautifully classic.”

LITTLE LOL“My little bridesmaids were so interested in how they looked that I forgot to put on my perfume and earrings as I spent the afternoon adjusting their flower crowns and curling their hair!”

STANDOUT VENDORS Rob Meredith, our amazing photographer went completely above and beyond. He was with us every step of the way and even captured some special engagement photographs. He has his own creative flair and we had total faith in everything he did. Also, Shelley Faull worked tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect. She even had her husband, a local builder, make furniture for the occasion. I had no problem putting all my trust in her and gave her free reign to style the wedding. I was not disappointed.”
