Felicity and Nigel’s epic Sunny Coast wedding first caught our eye on Insta and we all but begged Queensland lens lady Taylor Kezia to send all of the pretty pictures our way so we could share the day with you guys here on the HM blog. With stunning flowers by Willow Bud and a gorge gown from White Lily Couture, not to mention one super cute pooch, there is so much to pin below, but first, a few words from the couple…

THE INSPOI knew from the get-go I wanted it to feel whimsical, and I wanted to feel like a fairy in a fairy garden! Everything was so delicate from the French lace in the bridesmaid’s dresses, to the soft florals [by the amazing Willowbud] for the ceremony/reception. My blush veil had specks of glitter that caught the light, and tiny delicate flowers to match my bespoke floral crown”.

THE DRESSGosh was it a journey to find the dress. I had [originally] purchased a Gahlia Lahav dress that I thought I would love, but because my frame is quite petite, the gown just ate me up. I sold that dress and tried on what I THOUGHT I wanted (tulle, sparkles, glamour, drama), and I walked out choosing a form-fitted crepe dress [from Queenslands go-to White Lily Couture]. Totally not what I ever thought I would have ended up with, but the sleeves brought an element of fun without overwhelming my body”.

FAVE MOMENTCan I say all? My favourite part of the day was definitely when things got loose. I remember lining up behind the doors with the bridal party ready for our introductions. The energy was so high, everyone was stomping, screaming and cheering. It made us feel so supported and loved, definitely a moment of gratitude when I looked around the room to see our nearest and dearest cheering us on”.

A WORD OF ADVICEWedding planning shouldn’t be a stressful time! Talk to your partner to find out what their non-negotiables are, and set a budget to accommodate the things that you really want. I would also suggest taking time and doing your research prior to booking your photographer to ensure their style of work matches your expectations and aesthetic. They are one of the most important vendors as they’re the ones capturing all the hard work and sweat that went into planning the day!”

STANDOUT VENDORSWithout a doubt, it had to be our ever-talented photographer, Taylor Kezia. Not only did Taylor take my expectations and exceed them tenfold, but she also made us feel incredibly comfortable in front of the camera. Not only is Taylor exceptionally talented with an eye for detail, but she is also the human form of sunshine. It was such a pleasant experience dealing with Taylor from beginning to end”.

After a rave review like that, we’re sure you want to enquire with Taylor for your own day of good times. You can do that right here.
