It’s Throwback Thursday guys, and we are excited to share Georgia and Matt’s stunner of a day on the Goldie, which first appeared in issue 37. This cute couple were friends for six years before they finally got together. “His older sister is one of my best friends so there was always reasons to be around each other!” the bride tells us (marrying your bestie’s bro for the win!).
They had a few of our fave vendors along for the ride whent they tied the knot at The Valley Estate in Currumbin, including photographer Milk & Honey Creative, who was kind enough, along with the newlyweds, to share this epic day of days with us. THE INSPO “Our vision was to have a good old-fashioned, black-tie party, with dreamy summer sunset tones mixed in to create an element of fun.”
THE DRESS “My wedding dress was the very first one I tried on. I immediately fell in love with it at Karen Willis Holmes but didn’t want to settle too soon. I tried on a number of other dresses at KWH, and another boutique but ended up coming back for that very first one. No other dress gave me that romantic, but modern and flirty bridal feel. When I put it on I immediately felt myself in it. My grandma even commented that I couldn’t stop having a little dance and playing with the incredible POCKETS!”
REFERENCES “I found a lot of inspiration and vendors from Hello May, of course! It has always been my first point of call, that would then lead me to spiral into creating saved folder after saved folder from their Instagram feed.”
MEMORABLE MOMENTS “One of our favourite moments from the day was entering the reception. The Valley Estate has a beautiful room that opens up to The Manor and flowing staircase. The doors opened to us having a bit of a make out session (planned, of course) to the surprise of our family and friends. It started off the night with lots of fun and laughter. I think we caught a lot of our guests off-guard.”
STANDOUT VENDORS “Milk & Honey Creative gifted us with the most beautiful images of our day. Jefferson made us feel so natural and at home while taking the photos. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer – they were a dream to work with!”
