Imogen and Courtney hosted the mother of all ocean-side nuptials with nothing but sand beneath their toes and their nearest and dearest looking on at Red Bluff, Quobba Station, a lazy six hours drive from Perth in WA. THE VENUE ” [We decided on our location because] I grew up at the bluff, six out of seven of my bridesmaids grew up on the station, Cort and I met here! We have a lot of history at this place and never wanted to have it anywhere else – regardless of the logistical nightmare it was to organise – haha”.
LITTLE LOL “The drive up north (six hours) we had a cyclonic front hit us, dust storm, 50-knot winds you name it.. the beach was covered in weed.. my bridesmaids and I raked the beach for hours”.
WORD OF ADVICE “Just have fun with it, don’t let anything stress you out – write a list a few months before and tick things off as you go.”
THE DRESS “I co-designed my dress with Bowie Rae, and we went back and forth for two years via Zoom due to Covid. Not one face-to-face fitting! Mannie was amazing to work with and trusted my vision, it was perfect.”
WE’RE GLAD WE “I’m so glad we got the band, it was a mission to get a 5-piece band 12 hours North of Perth in the middle of nowhere with no power… but it was worth it!”
STANDOUT VENDORS “Alex Marks, our photographer, travelled across the country and drove 12 hours to be with us on our day! We connected over the phone instantly… when he said he’d be happy to crash in a swag, I knew he’d be the right fit. The photos turned out so beyond anything I could have imagined, we’re so happy!”
