THE VENUE “We looked online at a lot of wedding venues and then saw two which included The Lussh. We fell in love with the style, cliffs and courtyard. Both of our family and friends are from Brisbane so we wanted it to be as close to home for everyone as possible. I just loved blush pink and white florals for spring and thought gold furniture. We also wanted it to have a classy and casual feel, and the Lussh ticked those boxes!”
FAVE DEETS “I can’t get over how beautiful the flowers [by Gloriosa Florals] were and also the cake [by The Sweet Society Co.] I have so many photos of them from Maple and Ochre Photography and I want to print them and display them around the house.”
THE DRESS “I purchased my dress from Luv Bridal after looking online at various places. It was such a fun experience. It was surprising as the dresses you think you love more often then not look funny when you put them on! We ended up seeing the dress I chose last minute while we browsed the store and loved it. I purchased it the next time I visited as I wanted to be sure that I didn’t change my mind.”
REFERENCES “Our key wedding vendors were recommended by The Lussh and I investigated them more through Instagram and reviews. Studying full-time and working meant I had to have a lot of trust in my vendors as I had minimal time to organise. Most vendors we used have built relationship with the Lussh which made it run super smooth. We knew our Celebrant – she was our MC’s mother – and was the perfect choice.”
A WORD OF ADVICE “Don’t hesitate to spend extra on the things that you truly enjoy and want (for us it was a tasty cake, flowers etc). Also if you want family photos after your ceremony, write a list of who and in what order! Get them together, get the pics and go have fun!”
WE’RE GLAD WE… “We were really nervous to have a cocktail style wedding as we have never attended one, but it turned out amazing! Our families said it really encouraged them to mingle with others as they weren’t stuck at a designated table when eating.”
STANDOUT VENDORS “Our celebrant Genene Deakin was fantastic! She made us feel so comfortable and prepared. It was the most nerve-racking part of the day for us. We felt so calm in the end and it was thanks to her. The Sweet Society Co. made the cake of my dreams it was so stunning, delicious and Diana is just an absolute delight. GLO WILD – our friend Kim set up all this beautiful light-up furniture that looked amazing outside and Emilija from Maple and Ochre Photography did an amazing job. She was so responsive leading up and after the wedding. We truly have the most amazing photos and I cannot wait to print them all around the house!
