Jess and Kahn never considered any other wedding venue – they just knew that their big day would happen on Jessie’s parents’ beautiful land in Woombye on Qld’s Sunny Coast. They then turned the property into a pastel paradise! Trent and Jessie were there to work their magic behind the camera, and we can’t wait for you to see all the pretty pics. THE THEME “We had a pastel-themed wedding, which was one of the best decisions, everyone had so much fun dressing up and the photos turned out amazing. Highly recommend a colour theme.”
DIY “The whole wedding was nearly DIY. My dad created the whole venue… he had to remove trees and grow the grass! We tried to use people that we knew or did it ourselves. It was definitely an interesting experience, we wanted to try to keep in our budget and this is how we did it… but I can now see why couples get wedding planners.”
MEMORABLE MOMENT “We loved the speeches. We had seven people give a speech – both of our dads, three bridesmaids and four groomsmen. And taking a moment with Kahn after the photos [with Trent and Jessie] was pretty special to actually look at each and say we did it!”
LITTLE LOL “My mum and dad’s dog Tilly actually got out of the house during the ceremony. While Kahn and I were standing at the end of the aisle, Tilly just came walking down… it was pretty funny.”
A WORD OF ADVICE “Try to remember the wedding is for you as a couple! It can get really full on when it comes down to the guest list and the few weeks leading up trying to please everyone. Everyone always tells you the day goes sooo quickly… and it really does. So remember to breathe and have fun!”
