Kate & Aidan’s quintessentially Melbourne wedding hit all the right notes. From the epic venue (with live music by none other than The White Tree band) to the stunning gown (paired with our fave Meggan Morimoto heels with detachable silk ribbons) to the beautiful October weather and stunning snaps by Victorian fave Georgia Verrells. THE VENUE “We loved that it was located in the CBD, as we wanted somewhere that was easy for our guests to get to. Pepes doesn’t feel like an inner city venue because of the lovely trees, overhead lights, courtyards and just the overall vibe. We love the aesthetics of the restaurant, and Italian has always been our favourite food so that made it an easy choice”.

THE DRESS “My dress was from Bluebell Bridal, by designer Harriette Gordon. I went with the short dress as I wanted to feel comfortable and be able to move around easily on the day. Everybody commented how ‘Kate’ the dress was, so it really allowed me to still feel like myself on the day!”

RESOURCES “Instagram is naturally a really great source of information to see what vendors are out there. I found pages like Hello May also extremely helpful as the stories/articles give a really great flow of a wedding from start to finish- which was really informative”.

WE’RE GLAD WE … “I am really glad that we had a private ceremony with family, as this helped us to both feel really relaxed and actually enjoy the ceremony. We are glad that we had a smaller wedding because we feel this allowed us to include things like nice champagne, cocktails, spirits etc that we likely wouldn’t have included if we had a larger wedding”.

STANDOUT VENDORS “Jo from Twig and Type was a HUGE help to us in the lead-up to the day and on the day. Also, our photographer Georgia Verrells and videographer Dean really helped us to feel relaxed and enjoy the day. Both have the perfect balance of being professional, assertive (which we need!), calm and fun. We feel so grateful to have been able to work with them all!”
