Clearly a great team from the get-go, this couple have not only been together for six years, but have known each other since they were 16, and even work together in their family-owned engineering company, day in, day out. Epic right? Also epic? Their waterfront wedding in WA. THE PROPOSAL “James is not a predictable person, so I knew it would catch me by surprise. In true James fashion, three days before we left for a holiday, he caught me totally off guard and proposed to me at home with our dog, Sully, next to him. My eyes were closed and I thought he was going to hand me a bar of chocolate, but instead it was my dream ring and the love of my life on one knee- simple yet perfect.”
THE VENUE “Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club was the first venue we visited. We new we wanted to be on the water and in Perth. The venue was classy, the food was incredible and the staff were lovely. It was a ‘yes’ straight away.”
FAVOURITE DETAIL “The table decor by Amber of the Travelling Jaspers. The high stands on the long tables with stunning florals and the bridal table’s floral arrangement on top of acrylic plinths was breathtakingly large, lush and amazing!”
THE DRESS “My dress was custom-made from my dream store, Pallas Couture. I didn’t know what shape or style I would have, but I knew I would find it there. I picked the dress, but it was custom-made to fit me and we changed a whole lot from the original. Different lace, removed panels, added sparkle- it was perfection.”
REFERENCES “I met Amber (of the Travelling Jaspers) at a One Fine Day Wedding Fair and I loved the unique wedding table that she had put together. She also gave me some great advice for our ceremony location. I was not looking for a stylist, but it was a great decision. We went through her for all of our vendors. She was an absolute legend and went way above and beyond!”
WE’RE GLAD WE… “Got a stylist. It was the best thing we did. We’re also glad that we filled the gap between the ceremony and reception by putting on drinks and grazing at the ceremony location on the river. Everyone loved it and it created a really great vibe after the ceremony, following onto the reception. I am also so happy that I went with my dream dress, it was worth every penny!”
