To these two stylish humans, marriage means “love, family and commitment… and a bloody good excuse for a party!” And this is here, is indeed a party, people. The bride, who wore a stunning second-hand Oui The Label gown, organised the wedding in under three months,“ a dream opportunity for a project manager,” she adds. THE VENUE “Our friends Mikki and Kyran own Muse Noosa and having spent many happy times with them there, we realised it was the perfect venue for us. We selected the ceremony location based on proximity to Muse. In hindsight, not having a wet weather backup was a little stressful (there was torrential rain continually in the lead-up to the wedding!) but it all worked out on the day.”
THE INSPO “Relaxed! That was the key aim of the day. We both wanted to have a chilled day that we could enjoy with our friends and family. We felt like we achieved that.
FAVE DETAILS “For me, the veil was a really special detail. It was made by a UK designer AM Faulkner and my sister who couldn’t make it to Australia from the UK for the wedding purchased it for me. It felt like having her with me on the day.”
DIY “I did quite a lot to help manage the cost. I made the invites, purchased all of the reception décor, and the bouquets were made by myself, my mum and my gorgeous bridesmaids. Also, my bridesmaid Mikki made the cake for us – it was stunning!”
LITTLE LOL “There was a slight mix-up with the rings. Our dog Tieko was supposed to bring them to us, but the groomsmen forgot to attach them to his collar. Teiko still got his moment in the spotlight while the groomsmen fumbled around to find the rings in their pockets. We all had a good laugh.”
